From the 8th row we begin to knit with a star pattern - we knit 20 rows.
Star pattern 1 row - * 1 star, 1 knit - continue to the end of the row 2 row - purl loops 3 row - 2 knit, * 1 star, 1 knit - repeat from * to the end 4 row - purl loops 5 row - repeat from 1 row.

We begin to form the top of the hat for a newborn - switch to 5 needles No. 2, start knitting in the round. Immediately after the star pattern, we knit one circular row purlwise, evenly decreasing 5 loops in it = 60 loops. we knit the top of the head in stockinette stitch, decreasing the loops with 10 wedges, for this in the first row we knit together every 5th from 6th loop - 10 times then we knit one row without decreasing (so that the wedges are more elongated)

Row 3 - knit stitches 4 and 5 together

Row 4 - knit all

Row 5 - together 3 and 4

Row 6 - no decreases

Row 7 - 2 and 3 together

Row 8 - knit without decreases

Row 9 - we knit all the loops 2 together, knit the remaining 10 loops with a needle and sew them up. Then, using a crochet hook, we begin to knit frills onto the hat.
In the 7th row of the hat, which was knitted purlwise, in each loop we knit 2 double crochets with pink thread.

Then we decorate the edge of the frill with a picot thread, for this we knit * 3 single crochet - 2 double crochets - single crochet in the same 3rd loop - repeat from * to the end of the frill.

You can make a second row of flounces on the top of the head, in the row that was knitted purl after the star pattern.

We tie the laces and the hat for the newborn girl is ready.

Description of knitting booties:

I used baby yarn, as well as ribbons and beads.

We start knitting from the middle of the sole. The sole is knitted in garter stitch. Cast on 40 stitches on the needles.
1st and 2nd row - all knit stitches. Starting from the 3rd row, you need to add 4 loops in every second row 4 times (one loop at the edges and two loops in the middle). We add a new loop from the constrictions between the loops. The constriction must be twisted before knitting so that a hole does not form and the knitting is tighter. We lift the waistband between the loops, twist it and knit it.

3rd row – 1 edge stitch, add 1 loop, knit 18, 1 st. add knits., 2 knits, 1 add knits., 18 knits., 1 add knits., 1 edge.

4th row – all knits.

5th row – 1 edge, k1, add 1 loop, k18, 1p. add knits., 4 knits, 1 add knits., 18 knits., 1 add knits., 1 knits, 1 edge.

Row 6 – all knits.

7th row – 1 edge, k2, add 1 loop, k18, 1p. add knits., 6 knits, 1 add knits., 18 knits., 1 add knits., 2 knits, 1 edge.

8th row – all knits.

9th row – 1 edge, k3, add 1 loop, k18, 1p. add knits., 8 knits, 1 add knits., 18 knits., 1 add knits., 3 knits, 1 edge.

10th, 11th and 12th rows - all knit stitches. A total of 16 loops have been added. There are now 56 stitches on the needles. The sole is ready.

We divide the loops into 3 parts - two side and a middle part. The side parts are knitted in garter stitch, the middle part in 2x2 rib stitch.

The loops must be calculated so that the middle part of the bootie begins and ends with two facial loops. In my example it turned out - the middle part is 18 loops and two side parts are 19 loops each, including the edge loop.
1st row – 1 edge stitch, 18 knit stitches, 18 knit stitches 2x2 (k2, p2, k2, p2, k2, p2, k2, p2, k2), 18 knit stitches, 1 edge stitch.

2nd row – 1 edge stitch, 18 knit stitches, 18 loops with 2x2 rib already according to the pattern (p2, k2, p2, k2, p2, k2, p2, k2, p2), 18 knit, 1 edge. Repeat rows 1 and 2 5 more times. Now after the sole there are 12 rows knitted. From the next 13th row we begin to make decreases.

13-row – 1 edge, 18 knit, 2 knit together, 2 purl together, 2 knit together, 2 purl together, 2 knit together, 2 purl together, 2 knit together, 2 purl together, 2 knit together, 18 knit, 1 edge When decreasing, knit the loops so that they are not twisted. Then the drawing will be smooth.

14th row – 1 edge, 18 knits, 1 purl, 1 knits, 1 purl, 1 knits, 1 purl, 1 knits, 1 purl, 1 knits, 1 purl, 18 knits, 1 selvedge.

15th row – 1 edge stitch, 18 knit stitches, knit the next 1 knit stitch and 1 purl stitch together, knit 2 together, knit 2 together, knit 2 together, knit 2 together (1 loop from the elastic band and 1 loop from the side part - “garter stitch” "knitting"), 17 knit, 1 edge.

16th row – 1 edge, 17 knit, 5 purl, 18 knit, 1 edge.

17th row – 1 edge, 18 knit, 2 knit together, 1 knit, 2 knit together, 17 knit, 1 edge.

18th, 19th, 20th rows - all knit stitches. Next, we knit 24 rows with an elastic band 1x1. Close the loops. Break the thread, leaving 20-25 cm for stitching.

We sew with a vertical knitted seam (we sew along the front side, and the seam remains on wrong side) You need to start sewing the bootie from the wrong side, so that on the bootie lapel the seam is on the wrong side. Sew about ¾ of the 1x1 elastic. Turn it right side out and continue stitching until the end.
