Knit booties with a braid. Booties with a braid pattern

The booties are very beautiful, and look very nice on small feet, especially when paired with a hat, which you have already seen on the site. The boots are knitted based on the works of Elena Mitchell. Also included in the set is a hat with ties, you can also print it on this site.

Description of knitting booties with a braid:

You will need: white yarn 50 g (Kartopu Bebe, 100% premium acrylic, weight: 50 g, length: 150 m, color No. K001), double needles, crochet hook.

Braid pattern:

The diagram shows only the front rows; in the purl rows we knit all the loops purlwise.

In the 9th row we make a cross stitch: remove 6 loops before working on an additional knitting needle, knit the next 6 loops, then knit 6 loops from the additional knitting needle.
Repeat from 1st to 10th row

Start knitting

We start knitting booties from the cuff.
To do this, cast on 34 loops (the width is 12 cm) and knit 1 edge stitch, 4 garter stitch loops, 1 purl stitch, 8 braid stitches, 1 purl stitch, 18 garter stitch loops, 1 edge stitch stitch until the height reaches 16 cm. Cast off the loops.

Turn it inside out and remove the stitches from the side where 18 garter stitch stitches were knitted. We remove 12 loops on additional knitting needles on both sides and debug. From these we will knit the side part of the bootie.

We knit the middle 12 loops with a purl stitch of 5 cm, while in the 14th and 16th rows we decrease the 1st loop on both sides = 8 loops.

Next, we continue to work as follows: 12 laid-off loops on the right side, slip 10 loops from the right side of the upper part of the bootie, middle 8 loops, slip 10 loops from the left side of the upper part of the bootie, 12 laid-off loops on the left side. Total 52 p.

And we knit a 2.5 cm garter stitch on the side of the bootie.

Sole

Now let's start knitting the sole:
1st row: knit 2 loops together, knit 23 stitches, knit 2 loops together, knit 23 loops, knit 2 loops together.
2nd, 4th and 6th rows: knit stitches.
3rd row: knit 2 stitches together, knit 21 stitches, knit 3 stitches together, knit 21, knit 2 stitches together.
5th row: knit 2 stitches together, knit 19 stitches, knit 3 stitches together, knit 19, knit 2 stitches together.
Then close all the loops.

Assembly

We sew the sole and sew the back seam in the bootie.
For the piping in the last row of the side part on the front side, we remove the loops in a circle and knit 5 rows with purl stitch. Close the loops. The edge should curl downwards, as in the photo.

Crochet a lace from air loops into two threads, insert into the cuff (where the loops were removed).

Knitting density

22 p. x 34 round. = 10 x 10 cm.

Getting the job done

On stocking needles No. 3, cast on 36 sts, distribute them evenly across 4 knitting needles (= 9 sts on each knitting needle) and close them in a ring.

Knit 24 rounds. pattern for the plank.

Then, to thread the lace, perform 1 row with holes as follows: * knit 2 stitches together, 1 yarn over, from * repeat constantly.

In the next round, knit all stitches, including yarn overs, in stockinette stitch.

Knit 2 more circular rows. Then from the 2nd knitting needle transfer 3 sts to the 1st knitting needle and from the 3rd knitting needle transfer 3 sts to the 4th knitting needle (= 12 sts each on the 1st and 4th knitting needles and 6 sts each. on the 2nd and 3rd knitting needles). Surely many needlewomen dream of knitting beautiful booties with braids on thick soles for their children, but they don’t know where to start.

In this master class I will describe in detail how to knit elegant and warm booties for a child 1 year or older on a felt sole. There will be a pattern on the front of the booties - a braid.

Such warm booties will be very useful for a one-year-old child and older. Because they are like warm slippers, in which you feel comfortable walking on a cool floor.

Knitted booties with a braid for a child from 1 year old on a felt sole - master class with photos:

First, we take a felt sole and cut out an insole of the required size from it. By the way, if you buy insoles of size 45-46, then they will be enough for 2 pairs of booties for a foot size of 14-15 cm.

We make the second insole a mirror image of the first

Then we crochet each insole with yarn of the desired color. To do this, use an awl to make holes in the insole at a distance of 1 cm from the edge. The following blanks are obtained:

Then we crochet the insole to the size of the felt sole. We knit the second similarly to the first:

Now we put the hook aside and take the knitting needles. We cast on 44 loops and knit the required number of rows with a pearl pattern (I knitted 14). This will be a lapel

Then we knit several rows in stockinette stitch and begin knitting the central pattern, consisting of two adjacent braids. This pattern is called the “royal braid”. For the “braid” you need to select the central 16 loops. So, we knit 13 stitches in stockinette stitch, then we knit 2 purl stitches, 12 knit stitches and 2 purl stitches. The remaining 13 stitches are stockinette stitch. Do not forget that the two side loops are edge loops and are not taken into account in the drawing. After 8 rows we cross the braid and continue knitting further:

Starting from the 23rd row, instead of the stockinette stitch on the sides of the pattern, we knit with a “1*1 rib”:

This is what the top of a bootie with a lapel looks like:

We knit 6 rows and start knitting the central 16-18 loops. So we knit to the desired length of the foot

Then we transfer the edge loops to the knitting needles

and begin to knit 14 rows from edge to edge with a pearl pattern:

It turns out this bootie with a braid, knitted with knitting needles:

Now we sew it at the back and start decorating.
For decoration, we crochet the edge of the lapel with brown or mustard-colored yarn, using single crochets. It turns out like this:

Then, using a white thread, we knit a row in a “crawfish step”:

Now we sew on the top of the bootie, the insole and the felt sole using a crochet hook and finishing yarn. Like this:

At the end, we process the edge with a “crawfish step” and get these booties.

Knitted booties with braids, ready! For a child of 1 year or 2 years old, this will be the most popular house shoes in the off-season.

So let's begin. The sole is 13 cm, knitted from children's acrylic, with stocking needles 3.5.
We start knitting from the sole.
We cast on 7 loops.
1 rub. - all persons.
2,4,6 rubles - make increases of 1 p. near the edges (increase-yo)
Knit 54r. Next, we make decreases near the edge stitches, through a row until there are 7 loops left on the knitting needles. We close all the loops.
Let's switch to five spokes. We collect loops from the sole so that there are 15 loops on the toe, and an even number of loops on the remaining knitting needles. We knit 7-10 rows with rice (1 row - knit 1, p1, etc. 2 rows - purl 1, knit 1, etc.).
Next we knit the toe (like a heel)
We start knitting from the front side.
1p.-1p., 6knit., 1st., 6knit., knit the last loop with the first loop of the next knitting needle with a purl loop, unroll the knitting.
2p. - chrome, 6 p., 1 knit., 6 p., knit the last loop with the first loop of the next knitting needle, knitting.
Repeat up to 5 rubles.
5 r.-chrome, slip 3 loops onto an additional knitting needle after knitting, knit the next 3 knit stitches, knit 3 loops from an additional knitting needle, purl 1, again slip 3 loops onto an additional knitting needle before knitting, knit the next 3 knit loops, then knit 3 loops from an additional knitting needle, knitting the last loop together with the first loop of the next knitting needle. Knit according to the pattern, make the next crossing after 7 rows. I knitted like this until the middle of the sole, i.e. I had 22 loops on the side knitting needles, I knitted until there were 11 loops left. Next we knit 15 loops of the toe according to the pattern, all other loops with an elastic band, I knitted 1 by 1. So we knit to the desired height of the bootie. Next, one row of faces, loops and go again to Fig. I concluded that the rice turns out a little tight, maybe it’s worth knitting with an elastic band until the end. Close the loops. Crochet it. Our bootie is ready.
I knitted the same booties with felt soles.

In every family, the birth of a child is a long-awaited event. Many mothers are still in an interesting position, but they are already taking up their knitting needles and knitting the cutest things for their child. Grandmothers come to their aid and try to impose as many things as possible on their grandson or granddaughter. In specialized stores that sell only knitted items, your eyes widen from the abundance of cute products for babies. Knitted booties with braids will be an excellent gift for a baby. In cold weather they will warm little feet. And the child will feel comfortable.

Knitted booties

Such a thing as booties with braids, knitted with knitting needles, looks amazingly beautiful on the legs of a baby or toddler. They evoke tenderness in everyone who holds such a thing in their hands. Any woman wants to create something touching for her baby with her own hands. You can start by knitting booties with a braid.

Choosing yarn

Booties are a universal thing. On the one hand, they do not restrict the baby’s developing foot, and on the other hand, they will not slide off the leg thanks to the ties. To make your boots soft, warm and beautiful, you need to choose the right yarn. Threads must meet the following requirements:

  • hypoallergenic;
  • medium thickness;
  • soft to the touch;
  • not prickly;
  • soft pastel colors (for beautiful photos).

You can calculate the size of the booties using a simple sheet of paper, where you need to note the length and width of the baby’s foot with a small margin. The product can be knitted on two, four or five knitting needles. Booties can come in a variety of shapes, colors, with or without patterns. The product can be decorated with buttons, ribbons, tassels and pom-poms. It is advisable not to overdo it with decorations.

Knitting booties with braids

Booties are knitted simply and quickly. The pattern is not complicated and looks very attractive and gentle. You need to choose yarn, stocking needles and start making the product. The description of booties with oblique knitting needles is as follows:

  • You should start knitting from the cuff of the product. On the knitting needles you need to cast on 34 loops across the width and knit the edge stitch, then 4 loops in the garter stitch, 1 purl loop, 8 oblique stitches, then another 1 purl, 18 garter stitch loops, 1 edge stitch and so on until 16 cm. Then bind off all the loops.
  • On the wrong side, from the side of 18 loops, knitted using the garter method, remove 12 loops on additional knitting needles on both sides and set aside. Afterwards, the sides of the product will be formed from them.
  • Knit 12 stitches in the center with purl stitch (should be 5 cm), and in rows 14 and 15 decrease one loop on each side. There should be 8 loops.
  • Now you can start working on the sides. From the 12 loops on the right side, remove 10 loops from the top of the bootie. Take 8 loops from the middle, and then remove 10 loops from the left side of the top of the product (originally there were 12). The result should be 52 loops. Knit 2.5 cm of the side of the bootie using the garter method.

We knit the sole of the product:

  • First row. Knit two loops together with the front one, 23 loops just with the front one, again two loops together with the front one and again 23 front ones. Repeat two loops together with the front one.
  • Second row. Knit only the front ones.
  • Third row. Knit two stitches together with the knit stitch, 21 stitches only with the knit stitch, 3 stitches with the knit stitch, 21 stitches with the knit stitch, and then two stitches with the knit stitch.
  • Fourth row. Only facial ones.
  • Fifth row. Knit two stitches together with the knit stitch, 19 knit stitches, 3 with the knit stitch and again 19 knit stitches. At the end, knit 2 stitches together.
  • Sixth row. Repeat the second or fourth.

Then close all the loops.

Booties with cross-braided knitting needles will look chic with bonnets or hats knitted in the same style. This will be a great gift for the birth of a baby.

How to properly care for knitted booties?

Knitted booties with knitting needles and braids require appropriate care. The product should be washed by hand and at a temperature of 30 degrees. Before washing, soak the booties in water for 20 minutes. Wash with gentle movements. There is no need to rub the product - after all, the baby will not be able to stain his clothes that much.

Laundry soap, powder for baby clothes or baby shampoo are suitable for washing. The booties should be rinsed at the same water temperature in which they were washed. After rinsing, lightly wring out the boots and gently spread them on a towel. When the booties are slightly damp, you should give them the correct shape and leave them until completely dry. Proper care of the product will extend its service life.
