Balconette bras, Angelica. Angelica and balconette bras - what's the difference? What does a bra consist of?

Girls, hello! For some reason I wanted to return to the topic of underwear, types of bras: balconette, angelica, invisible and others. Understand the variety, namely the top element. When I was selecting material for the article and looking at the photographs, to be honest my head was spinning.

There are many types of bras and camisoles: silicone, invisible for an open back, push up, with straps, underwires and without them, lace balconette and angelica... There were such very unusual exhibits that I had not even realized about their existence before.

In the article I will not only talk about the types of women's bras, but also tell you who can wear them and with what, and you will also see how different bras look in the photo and what accessories are available for them.

The history of the bra or who invented it

I’ll briefly tell you the story of the creation of a piquant part of a woman’s wardrobe - the bra. You can find out more in detail by watching the film at the end of the article. , They talk about it interestingly there. Mention of the ancestors of the modern bra is found in ancient manuscripts, wall hieroglyphs and frescoes.

The bra, as many call the bra, was invented at the beginning of the twentieth century, and at the same time we will displace the rigid corset from the wardrobe. Currently, it is difficult to say who exactly invented this item of women’s wardrobe, but only the Germans have a patent for the invention, and therefore the word bra ( Bustenhalter) German, which is verbatim Buste- “female breasts”, and Halter"holder" .

How to spell bra or bra?

In fact, it is more correct to write bra with the letter “b” after the “l”. Although the soft “l” may be lost during pronunciation.

What is the difference between a bra and a bra?

If you think that a bra is somehow different from a bra, then you are mistaken. These two words mean the same element of women's clothing and there is no difference. Unless in the origin of the words themselves. Bra is a German word, and bra is a Dutch word. lijf"body", diminutive of "bodice"

In addition, the name bra is used more in colloquial speech; it is more often used by people of the proletarian class, so to speak. In addition, it is pronounced faster and easier to remember. And some women also call this piece of women’s wardrobe a “bust”. What do you call it?

What does a bra consist of?

Let me briefly remind you what the individual manufacturers of lingerie are called. Look carefully at the picture below, the numbers indicate the main parts from which the bra is assembled. Below you will see a description of these notations.

1 - cups, 2 - seams, 3 - bones, 4 - belt, 5 - isthmus, 6 - side parts of the belt, 7 - clasp, 8 - straps or straps

The most expensive and beautiful bra in the world

The title of the most expensive bra in the world belongs to a product from the famous company Victoria's Secret. This company produces new expensive models every year, but, of course, they are impossible to wear, so they are exhibited as exhibits. In 2015, the precious Fantasy Bra model was released, which has 4,200 stones and costs $10 million.

In the photo below you can enjoy the beauty of the jewelry creation of 2015, and even lower - the creations of previous years.

Types of bras (photo examples)

There are a lot of classifications that divide bodices into different types and groups according to various criteria. I tried to create my own classification of lingerie according to the following criteria and answer the question: “What types of bras are there?”

    • According to the presence of seams
        • seamless
        • with seams
    • By the presence of an internal frame
        • on bones and cups
        • pitted and cupless
    • According to the degree of openness and demonstration of the breasts
        • completely closed (full coverage)
        • showing cleavage (Demi cup)
    • By the names of bras with different types of cups
        • Angelica
        • balconette, etc.
    • By clasp location
        • ahead
        • behind
    • By effect on breast size
        • increasing
        • reducing
    • Bustier, grace, semi-grace and in the form of a combination or T-shirt
    • Corrective bra type

Now let's look at each variety in more detail.

Seamless and seamed bra

Seamless bras can also be divided into two types:

      • with cups
      • without cups

If the model provides a dense base in the form of molded cups, then you will not find any seams on them. The fabric is processed in such a way that it follows the shape of the breast, supporting it. This model is suitable for any size and is usually worn under very tight clothes or clothes made from ultra-thin fabric.

There are also bodice styles that do not have tight cups, but instead are simply elastic fabric with a specific fiber direction. For example, the famous and now fashionable microfiber bra ahh bra, which looks like a top and is considered corrective, although I would argue. This bra has no seams, provides good support without squeezing the breasts, is elastic and comfortable for everyday wear, especially at home, and also for sleeping.

However, judging by numerous reviews, convenience and beauty are incompatible in the case of a seamless top. This model does not lift the breasts or increase their size. If you want a correction bra, then you need to choose a completely different model. I find it good to use as a night bra.

Seams on bras can be located in different directions. Thanks to the position of the seams on the cup, a certain effect is achieved in women with different breast shapes, making the owner’s breasts more seductive and appetizing.

The seams can be positioned vertically, horizontally, diagonally, combined or T-shaped (see photo above). The vertical position of the seam or undercut is intended for those with small breasts and also a narrow chest. Horizontal position The seam on the cup is better suited for a woman with a wide chest.

Diagonal seam placement is traditionally used in push-up bras. T-shaped seams are used when sewing extra large bras to provide maximum support. big breasts. In the photo above, in the center, you see a very curvy lady wearing a lace black bra with T-shaped seams. Currently, there are also products with ultra-thin (flat) seams, which are practically not felt when worn.

Underwires and cups in a bra: with and without

Women can be divided into two camps: those who prefer bodices with wire frames and those who prefer soft bras. Let's look at the advantages of both types.

Bodice with underwire

For those who don’t know yet, there are busts with a frame in the form of iron or plastic arches sewn into the lower part of the cup. They are threaded into a special tunnel and tightly fix the chest. If you choose the wrong bra, the arches can dig into the body, which is not very pleasant and comfortable.

The function of the underwires is not only to support the breasts, but also to create a more refined silhouette and outline. An iron or plastic frame is simply irreplaceable in bra models without straps (straps) or with removable straps. They help maintain the shape of the lace bra and prevent the breasts from sagging. For example, a bra model called a bandeau

Most often, these elements are present in push-up foam models, which should hold the shape of the breast well. As a rule, all bras with an underwire also have molded cups made of foam rubber or half-foam rubber, but there are delicate styles of lace bras without a dense base, as in the photo below.

Such products look amazing on young, firm and small breasts. Click on the picture with examples of lace bras without cups to make it larger.

Bra without wires

And there are products that do not have any frame, they are absolutely soft and do not cause any discomfort when worn, but at the same time they do not support the breasts very well. Such bras are good to wear at home or on weekdays, but for a celebration it is still better to use types that add more piquancy to your shape.

A high-quality bra can be made from natural fabrics (silk, cotton) or synthetic. According to reviews from real consumers, cotton busts are the most comfortable and pleasant to the body, but they wear out very quickly and lose their presentation. Although now there are examples made of elastic cotton, similar to knitted ones, and the cotton (cotton) bras of our grandmothers have almost sunk into oblivion.

Made from modern and safe synthetic fabrics, they last longer and do not lose their shape. Lace silk models look quite cute, combining elegance and convenience. In the photo below you can see these beautiful white fishnet bras.

If you want to choose a push-up model without wires, then I will disappoint you, because this is basically impossible, except for silicone bras that have neither straps nor back, as well as models made of special material (polyamide and elastane), which is a monolithic product and does not have a single seam.

By the way, if you don’t know yet, then read about it in a separate article.

Open and closed bras

And here is another classification according to the degree of openness:

      • completely closed (full coverage)
      • demonstrating (Demi cup)

Based on the title completely closed They cover the chest and gradually taper into straps, which is very comfortable to wear. With such a bra, you don’t need to think that when you bend over, your breasts may fall out for everyone to see.

Usually these are classic models, they are very comfortable to wear, but they are not as elegant as open models. You can buy such a model for everyday wear or when you know for sure that you will not need to undress)) Ideal under sweaters or a closed dress. In the photo you see examples of such products.

Models that hide the breasts can be either with or without underwires, have a dense cup or be absolutely soft, there are smooth ones without any seams, and also decorated with the most delicate lace. The choice is very large and you can afford the style you like most.

Showing bras, in common parlance demi , divided into 2 types:

      • "deep plunge"
      • “forward and upward” (push up)

To be honest, this was the first time I came across the first option. In the photo below you can see what it looks like. Such a revealing bodice is very suitable for an equally revealing dress with a deep neckline. I’ve always been surprised how show business stars wear dresses with a deep neckline, it’s like you can’t even see a bra, but at the same time they have such lush breasts. It turns out that he is hiding under the dress - a plange bra, for example, beige and lilac as in the photo below.

You've probably already heard about the second version of the demi model and, most likely, you have such a model in your women's wardrobe. Many people ask what a pushup in a bra is. This model is tailored in such a way as to lift and protrude the breasts, making them larger and creating a piquant, deep cleavage between the breasts.

Also, the effect of lush breasts is achieved by special fabric or silicone pads with gel filler, which are inserted into special pockets on the inside.

As a result, a lifting and tightening bra increases the size and volume of the breasts. By the way, there are models in which the inserts are already sewn into the bust frame and cannot be removed, like the red or orange bra below.

You can also divide the push up bra by the presence or absence of straps (strapless), as well as by the ability to change the direction of these same straps (racerback), for example, to cross on the back or chest.

For those who want to increase their breast volume by several sizes, you can use a double push up bra, like the red and burgundy bra below, as well as the very beautiful dark blue polka dot bra. The term bra (ahh bra) translated from English means bra, so the name Wonderbra refers to that very favorite bra with a push-up effect.

You can evaluate for yourself the lifting and tightening effect of the push-up cup shape before and after in the photo below. You can click on the picture to enlarge it in size.

Specific names of bras

I remember this name from childhood, when my mother shared with her friend that she had bought a new bra, Angelica. Why does it have this name? Maybe because at that time the film “Angelica - Marquise of Angels” was very popular))) The cups of this model are underwire, the straps are spaced wide, the neckline is open. The Angelica bra is suitable for women with any breast size.

This model perfectly supports the shape of the breast, but does not visually increase it by several sizes. In the photo on the left you can see the purple bra of the Angelica model.

This is a variation of the Angelica, but the difference is that the Brassier may have no upper part at all and the fabric barely covers the nipples. This model supports the chest from below due to the internal frame.

With this bra you can wear clothes with a deep neckline. It is best suited for women with small breasts, because large breasts will constantly fall out in front of everyone. In the photo you see a version of this type of bra, the picture is clickable.

This model is also a variation of Angelique, just like Brassier, which opens the neckline wide and flows from a slightly larger closure of the upper chest. In other words, it's something between Angelique and Brassier. The straps are located very wide, almost next to the armpits.

Ideal to wear with a dress with a wide neckline for women with small breasts. The photo shows what this bra looks like.

The name of this model comes from the word “balcony”. And indeed the shape of the breasts in such a bodice is very similar to semicircular balconies. The breasts are half-submerged and supported from below by molded cups. The straps are wide, allowing you to wear items with a wide armhole.

This model is also quite popular without straps. In this case, to prevent the bra from slipping, use reverse side There are silicone bands on the cups. Ideal for a dress with bare shoulders. This model looks good on medium-sized breasts (see photo). Judging by the reviews, middle-aged women love this bra style.

Triangle bra

This type of bra has a triangular shape. It reminds me of the top part of a swimsuit)) A triangle bra can have foam cups triangular shape or woven from thin lace. Holds small breasts well. He takes it with his unusualness and originality, but he is completely unable to gather his chest into the center.

The triangle bra is more popular among young women and girls until their breasts become heavier as a result. breastfeeding. The photo shows a black triangular lace bra.

Bra with front and back clasp

We are all used to having the bodice clasp at the back and few people have something that unfastens in the front. In my opinion, the front clasp on the bra is more comfortable, because it does not put pressure on the spine area and you do not need to twist your arms, like an acrobat)). But, unfortunately, a bra with a front clasp is not always suitable for women who have a wide rib cage and breasts are located far from each other.

To create a beautiful cleavage between the “hemispheres”, you need a bra with a short isthmus or without it at all, as well as inner pads that will give a push-up effect. Notice the photo showing the red, nude and white bras that fasten in the front (clickable image).

Breast reduction bras

Above, we have already become well acquainted with a wardrobe element that can significantly change its shape and size. female breast- these are demonstrating models of bras, namely with the Push effect. Therefore, I will not dwell in this section. Much more interesting is the fact that there are women who want to reduce their seemingly feminine dignity - their magnificent breasts.

I, the owner of the second size, will probably never understand the difficulties that arise for the owners of sizes 4, 5, 6, but nevertheless they have them. And in order to at least visually reduce your breasts, you need to choose a special reducing bra called a minimizer.

The minimizer bra visually reduces the volume and size of the breasts, while simultaneously supporting them and giving them beautiful contours. It turns out that the bra has some kind of tightening properties. This bra has very wide straps that form a U shape on the back, which relieves unnecessary tension from the back and shoulders. These types of bras with a wide back are also called leotards (see picture below).

The design of the bra is equipped with additional frames in the form of vertical bones, which better support the breasts. Previously, the cups had a T-shaped seam arrangement, but now technology has changed and designers have abandoned such not very beautiful seams. Now you can even find seamless minimizer bras. The fabric used is nylon, elastane with the addition of lycra. Outwardly it looks like satin fabric.

Bustiers, graces, bras in the form of a combination or tank top

Now let's look at the details of women's underwear, which are not quite similar to a classic bra, but contain its elements and thereby reliably support the breasts, making them more attractive. Surely you know such delightful things as bustiers, grace, combinations with cups.

Bustier bra

A bustier is a mixture of a bra and a grace, that is, the cups smoothly flow into a corset up to the waist. Supports the chest well and fits the body. Suitable for women with any breast size. The cups are most often supported by underwires. There are models with removable straps. It is usually fastened at the back a whole series hooks

Some call a bustier by different names. You may come across the following definitions:

      • bra top or camisole
      • longline bra
      • bra-corset or corset type
      • semi-grace
      • wide bottom bra
      • long bra
      • wide bra

Some people ask: “What is the name of a wide bra?” And yet correct name This wardrobe item is a bustier. Below I give examples of what a bra in the form of a top can be. The part that is located below the cups can be made of thin lace or thick fabric, which tightly clasps the body to the waist or hips, like a corset. Stocking straps can also be attached to the top.

The fabric of a longline bra won't necessarily reach your waist or even your hips. It can be only 7-10 cm below the bra cups, tightly covering the upper abdomen. In the photo you will see different options Bustier.

By the way, a bustier can be not only underwear, but also everyday clothes. A corset bra made of cloth fabric is a fashionable item in a youth wardrobe.

Grace or bodysuit bra

Indeed, not everyone knows the name of a piece of women's underwear that fastens at the crotch and tightly fits the figure. Many people know that there is a wardrobe item - a bodysuit, but not every woman knows that the same principle of cut occurs in underwear, combining a bra and a bodysuit. And the name of this subject is grace.

To be honest, I don’t find a place for this thing in my wardrobe, because I think that despite all its attractiveness and elegance, it is still not very comfortable to wear. Just going to the toilet will require skill and resourcefulness, but what if this happens in a public place?

Grace can be chosen for any figure and any breast size. An undeniable advantage will be a small corrective effect, but still not entirely sufficient, because the item is sewn from light and thin fabrics. I will talk about shapewear next.

Bra in the form of a combination or T-shirt

I had a hard time deciding to call this model a bra, since there is little traditional in it. Although there are models with molded cups. So, the combination of a bra and a slip is more playful in nature and is more relevant for the bedroom than for wearing under clothes. As a rule, this item looks like a bra, with fabric sewn to the belt that flows freely to the waist, hips, or even slightly below. The fabric can be satin, lace or fine mesh, guipure. The product is elegantly decorated with bows, flowers, rhinestones or semi-precious stones.

There are also models of underwear made in the form of a T-shirt. The outlines of the cups are visible in them, but as a rule they do not have a supporting function. In the photo you see examples of such T-shirts and combinations (the picture is clickable).

Bras for dresses with open shoulders and backless

Do you like to wear dresses with open back? I really like such seductive images, but, unfortunately, there is no such dress. And all because I had no idea how to wear it before, because the straps and belt of the bra would be visible, and without it, the breasts would lose support.

But as it turned out, there is a way out and you just need to know what types of bras to use. Today we will try to solve the problem and discover something new. There are several options:

      • bra with silicone back (transparent belt and straps)
      • silicone invisible bra
      • transformable bra (with straps that change direction)

I just listed the options now, and later I will write a detailed article, because this article no longer fits.

Corrective bra type

This type of bras also requires detailed consideration, so I decided to devote a separate article to this. Now I will say that this type most often includes models that are worn over regular bras.

A corrective bra brings the breasts together and lifts them up, creating a kind of push-up effect. I advise you not to miss two important articles.

Below is an educational video about the history of the bra.

That's all for me. I hope you found what you were looking for. And if not, then write in the comments about what types of bras you would like to know more about. Click on the buttons social networks, if you liked the article and see you next time!

With warmth and care, Ravila.

This is my first balconette bra. The first, but far from the last. How long have I ignored this wonderful model!..

Lush breasts become less firm over time. And when from sizes E-F the modest C remains, there is almost no talk about skin elasticity. And all those bras that used to gather my breasts into a seductive fold capable of holding a cherry now only more clearly show “tired” skin. And here the balconette comes to the rescue.

What is the difference between the balconette shape and the usual one? More often, bras “gather” the breasts, forming a cleavage. The balcony is designed to lift it up! And the breasts already look much more impressive.

I present to you the most classic balconette model from Milavitsa. It is inexpensive, about 800 rubles, and you can find it in almost any lingerie store.

So, here he is, my hero))

⚠ Cup size for my chest is B, this model is very large. And this must be taken into account when choosing a model!

The bra is made simply:

✔He's on underwire, keeps its shape perfectly.

No push-up, it's just that the bottom of the cup is dense.

The lace doesn't stretch at all, and this is very good, it helps to fix the breasts better. It’s still alive and well, no threads are sticking out, no holes have appeared.

Straps are thicker than usual, unfastened if necessary. They don’t do this on their own, by the way! After a year and a half, the socks have not stretched and look quite tolerable.

The back is not wide, fastens with 2 hooks. 3 rows of loops. In general, it’s business as usual here.

I won’t bore you any longer, showing you how a balconette bra looks on your figure.

Overall it looks great, mmk.

Here's a comparison with the regular form. Well, where am I more appetizing?))))

The bra is very comfortable. I practically don’t feel it, I don’t get tired of it. The chest is in a natural position, because it is simply raised up, and not shifted to the center. Nothing is transferred.

My conclusion.

This is my favorite bra right now. And I hope it will be like this until the next purchase of a new balconette. Now I don’t even look at other forms, this one is ideal for me.

The quality and price of the model are pleasing; it is cheaper than many others, but behaves perfectly when worn.

It’s just a pity that I never found panties to go with it, but I love it when underwear comes as a set. But this does not detract from the advantages of this bra.

Thank you for your attention!

Other reviews of underwear, all with illustrative photos

Today, manufacturers of women's underwear produce a large selection of bras. They all differ in materials, design and style. One of the most popular bra models is “Angelica”.

Features of the Angelica bra

This is a unique model with an open cup that barely covers the chest. The straps of such bodices are generally located widely, closer to the outer edges of the bra.

The Angelica bra is designed specifically for visual increase chest and its support below. For this purpose, it has special bones and additional inserts at the bottom of the cup. Removable straps are another important difference between Angelica bras.

The shape of the bra is the same as the classic model. It just creates a completely different effect. This bra is considered the sexiest and allows you to beautifully highlight feminine charms.

According to stylists, the Angelica bra is one of the universal models of bodices and goes well with any clothing. In addition, this style is very comfortable. Although there is an opinion that the “Angelica” model compresses the breasts and thus provokes the development of some women's diseases. In fact, thanks to its specific tailoring, the bodice does not interfere with blood circulation and other important processes. Therefore, women can safely wear the Angelica bra without fear for their health.

Types of model

The Angelica bra has many varieties.

  1. "Balconette" is an open bodice with widely spaced straps and a straight neckline. This model can be recognized by its wide bodice with underwires and thick cups. The specific cut opens the chest almost halfway. Most bodices have removable straps.
  2. "Corbeil" is a model with an open cup. In this bodice, the top part is smaller than the bottom part. As a result, the chest can barely hold in it. The Corbeil model is designed for clothing with a deep neckline.
  3. "Brassier" is a bra with a wide bodice and one-piece cups. It only slightly covers the chest, but at the same time it supports it well from below. Due to the special cut, you often get the feeling that it is small. But in reality he is just holding his chest slightly. This effect of minimizing the bodice allows you to make it invisible under any outfit.
  4. “Push-up” is a model that allows you to adjust the shape of your breasts and make them more seductive. Many bodices of this style have removable pads, with the help of which you can visually enlarge and slightly lift the breasts. It is thanks to this effect that many women choose the Angelica bra. A photo of the push-up model is shown below.
  5. “Push-up” without pads: differs from the previous model in the absence of foam inserts. In this model, the breasts are fixed more securely and look natural.

How to choose an Angelica bra

Photos in beautiful magazines or on the pages of online stores attract, and there is a desire to purchase several Angelica bras. But in order for the desired model to fit well, it is important to adhere to some rules.

  1. It is not recommended to buy the Angelica model for women with large breasts. In such a bodice, the breasts will “fall out”. In addition, women with large breasts are uncomfortable in such a bodice.
  2. The Angelica bra model is not always suitable for girls with small breasts. Sometimes it happens that the glands are simply hidden under the inserts and no seductive effect is achieved. In order not to get such a result, it is important to choose the Angelica bra in a regular store, where you can try on different styles.
  3. For dresses with thin straps or bare shoulders It is recommended to buy a bodice with removable straps.
  4. It is important not to skimp on linen. Experts advise buying only high-quality bras from well-known manufacturers. Expensive models are made from the best fabrics and wear well. Yes and appearance Such bras differ significantly from low-cost bras.

"Angelica" for large breasts

Almost all lingerie manufacturers make Angelica bras in large sizes. Wearing such bodices for women with attractive shapes is not only inconvenient, but also ugly. Girls who decide to make such a purchase are forced to adjust their bra with any movement. Therefore, stylists do not advise women with large breasts to buy Angelica bras. Well, if you need to choose a bra for open dress or a blouse, it is better to look for a suitable option among the “balconette” style models.

The popular sconce got its name thanks to the sensational film of the 60s “Angelique - Marquise of Angels,” in which the charming Michelle Mercier played. Her neckline attracted remarkable attention; it is not surprising that this shape of the neckline of the dress, and therefore the bra, was loved by millions.

Many people call the Angelica bra a “balconette” because of the similarity of the cut of the models. But in fact, the balconette is one of the variations of the angelica. Depending on the design of the cups, which can be made in different styles, experts in the field of lingerie fashion identify three more forms of angelica: “Corbeil”, “brassière” and semi-grace. But if we really delve into this topic, we cannot help but note that there are many more styles of angelica. Let's look at the four main ones.

Balconette

This term comes from the word balconnet, which in French means a small-sized balcony, the enclosing lattice of which traditionally has a rounded convex shape. A distinctive feature of this bra is the straight neckline. This model is very sexy and sensual, because the upper half of the chest remains naked.

Corbeil

This style of bra also exposes part of the chest, but unlike the balconette, the neckline line is not straight, but runs diagonally in each of the two cups. Another important feature is that the size of the upper part of the cup is significantly smaller than the lower part. In some models, the upper part may be almost completely absent, which allows you to support the chest from below and on the sides, leaving it bare, which is especially convenient if the dress or blouse has a very deep neckline. In addition, this lingerie looks incredibly erotic and is suitable for special occasions.

Brasier

This type of angelica differs from the previous two by a wide bridge that connects the cups. Despite the fact that the upper part reveals the breasts as much as possible, which is suitable for deep necklines, the nipples are still covered. Externally, such a bra gives the impression that it is somewhat too small and the breasts seem to fall out of it. Believe me, this is how it was intended. It is impossible to say that the breasts are securely fixed, but they are definitely raised and have an attractive round shape.

You need to choose a brassier carefully - trust your feelings more than your eyes. If the bra gives the impression that it is a size smaller, but does not pinch, does not restrict movement and at the same time fits well under the breast, this is your option.

Semi-grace

This accessory is a top that reaches to the waist. Its upper part can be made in the form of a balconette or a more closed angelica style, but the lower part is elongated. The semi-grace will help to secure and lift the breasts well, which is especially important for those with a large bust. In addition, this model will help to cope with fat folds on the sides, tightening them and shaping the waist.

Models available angelica with push-up effect. And if Angelica was originally created for large breasts, then thanks to special inserts, owners of the first and zero sizes can also wear this comfortable and, undoubtedly, beautiful underwear.

Features of Angelica

Angelika differs from other bra models not only in the neckline, but also in the straps. Thanks to the fact that they are spaced as wide as possible, you can safely wear dresses with an open back, without fear that the ill-fated harness will spoil the overall picture. Moreover, in many angelicas the straps are detachable, which is especially convenient.

You don’t have to be afraid that without harnesses your breasts will “creep” down, because the bra fits quite tightly, and the main support for the breasts is provided from below with the help of underwires.

Advantages

  • This is one of the “invisible” models that are suitable for clothes with a deep neckline.
  • Thanks to the special cut, your breasts look more impressive - they are fuller. In addition, an exciting cleavage is formed that attracts the eye.
  • And, importantly, the Angelica bra is not only very comfortable, but is considered one of the most “loose” and neutral bras, since it practically does not affect the blood circulation process, without creating any obstacles. This is due to its specific shape, which at the same time perfectly emphasizes the chest.

Those with a larger than average bust should be careful with this model. Since it does not completely cover the breasts, during certain movements, for example, during a fiery dance, an awkward situation may arise when the breasts appear in all their glory, and the bra will have to be adjusted. For a large bust, you should also choose models with wide straps and an additional row of hooks.

Underwear - business card women. With the advent of such a variety of bras as the Angelica bra, problems with selecting underwear disappeared. This is one of best options, which effectively and safely “packs” the breasts, preserving their natural beauty and health.

The advantages of the model include beautiful design. The product is worn with pleasure by femme fatales who know how to conquer a man with just their appearance.

Fashionistas of the 19th century began to wear the product, but the model did not gain much popularity. With the growth of feminist sentiments, seductive underwear was publicly burned in public squares. Thus, women fighting for freedom and equality sought to show that the female body should not be an object of desire.

But the Angelica sconce could not remain in the shadows for long. True, it received its name much later, when it gained worldwide fame thanks to the film “Angelica, Marquise of Angels.” The product had the most open shape, lifted the breasts well and made them extremely seductive, which was unacceptable by Soviet standards.

It is not surprising that the most luxurious bra models appeared in France. French manufacturers not only created Angelica in its current understanding, but also presented several models at once. Of course, the most popular were and remain to this day products with lace trim, flirty bows and embroidery.

The next round of fashion for Angelica manifested itself in the late 80s. American brands began producing fashionable bras, turning the iconic bra into a truly stylish and provocative item. At the same time, open sconces began to appear in the Soviet Union. Mostly these were products with a frontal fastener, brought from friendly countries of Eastern Europe.

The current Angelica sconces are significantly different from their predecessors.

  • Firstly, there is no universal product that fits the description of Angelica. There are so many varieties of bras in this style that some have little in common with others.
  • Secondly, the designers were able to create, but initially Angelica was intended, whose bust needed reliable support.
  • Thirdly, the purpose of bodices has expanded, and today you can find models based on classic bras, which are not so much underwear as an element of elegant clothing for show.

Features of the cut

What is special about Angelica, and why is the product so loved by women? For ordinary shoppers, the bodice has become a symbol of sexual liberation. Mammologists also see positive aspects wearing a bra of this style. This is one of the few models that does not put pressure on the bust, does not impede blood circulation and supports the mammary glands well.

The comfortable shape of the Angelica bra is ideal for large breasts. While a woman may feel uncomfortable in a regular bra, an open bra with widely spaced straps evenly distributes the load and makes her completely forget that the bra is on her body.

The product is created taking into account the anatomical features of the female body. This bra prevents muscle stretching, supports the breasts in a correct position, and improves the shape of the bust.

The style of the cups also varies. To create romantic looks and under a dress with a deep neckline, it is better to wear a low-rise bra. But such a model may not seem very comfortable if you have massive breasts. Bras with closed cups and wide straps will provide reliable support and make your breasts look exciting.

Varieties

There are so many styles of Angelica that each deserves special attention. Products differ in design features, materials used, purpose and finish. There are everyday options for bras that will make a woman comfortable throughout the day.

There is underwear for evening or holiday dresses. For fatal seductresses, lingerie designers have prepared collections of erotic bras in the Angelica style. Let's name the most popular types of bras.

Balconette

This model was especially loved by girls. The style is considered closed, despite the fact that the hemispheres of the chest are supported mainly in the lower part. This model is suitable for ladies with breast size 2 or more. The classic balconette is not very good on small breasts. It will not look very expressive, even if you manage to choose the size.

The straight line of the neckline provides a spectacular presentation of the breasts. The straps are spaced widely. A strap across the back of the neck allows you to bring the glands closer together and create a spectacular cleavage. The product holds the bust perfectly and does not hinder movement. Among characteristic features balconette:

  • has a comfortable frame that enhances support;
  • the straps are located along the edge of the shoulders;
  • The bones, elongated on the sides, beautifully gather the breasts, giving them fullness.

There are sconces with a silicone insert that prevents slipping, or transparent inserts. There are fashionable sconces with lacing, which gives the product an aristocratic look. This variety is so popular that women have no problems choosing. Designers offer sconces in classic colors, as well as bright models and bras with prints.

Corbeil

If you need to choose a reliable, but maximally open bra for a low-necked outfit, this will come in handy. The advantages of this model are obvious. This provides good support, a modeling effect, and the ability to wear any dress or blouse over underwear. Upper part Corbeil sometimes has no support at all, but lateral support is ideal.

The cups are slanted towards the middle, which makes it possible to wear corbeil with dresses with a deep neckline. Unfortunately, this model will not hold overly massive breasts - there is too little fabric to ensure reliable fixation. It is especially dangerous for busty girls to wear such a bra on the dance floor. Although the sconce is designed for festive outfits, it is not for fun celebrations or noisy parties. When bending or making sudden turns, the breasts may fall out of the bra.

Corbeils with a reinforced bodice are considered more reliable. Thanks to wide tape it is possible to better fix the bodice on the body. It’s good if there is a silicone insert on the inside of the sconce. By the way, I allow you to wear bras under maximally open or transparent outfits.

Brasier

Some ladies do not consider this version of Angelica to be full-fledged lingerie. This model exclusively lifts the breasts, but does not provide reliable support. purchased for specific outfits. It is of little use in an everyday wardrobe. But it can become part of a costume for role-playing games.

The model is good for those with a small bust. Support is provided by the grosgrain and widely spaced straps. What else is notable about the brassier:

  • the cups are connected by a wide bridge;
  • the presence of straps is desirable, but not necessary;
  • at best, the chest is half covered, sometimes the bodice does not even cover the nipples;
  • the product pulls the mammary glands closer to each other, visually increasing their volume.

Choosing a brassier is quite difficult. When trying it on, it seems that the bodice is frankly too small, but this is exactly the effect that the manufacturers are trying to achieve. If the bra fits well under the chest, does not restrict movement and does not cause discomfort, then the model is chosen correctly.

Semi-grace

This option has extensive modeling capabilities. The top of the bra is a classic balconette or more closed Angelica style, but the bottom has a longer cut. It can be elastic fabric or rigid construction. If you have a massive bust, the semi-grace will provide good fixation and lift the breasts.

Bustier Angelica will help to cope with fat folds on the sides and drooping breasts. In such a product, the figure will become, if not ideal, then very close to perfection. Half-grace to the waist allows you to adjust the waistline. For ladies with figure errors, it is difficult to find a more successful model.

The semi-grace style is not intended for regular wear. The tightening effect makes a woman irresistible, but can negatively affect her health.

Bustiers are in many ways reminiscent of the corsets worn by noble maidens. Remember when girls went to the ball in dresses with a wide neckline and a deliberately narrow waist?

Semi-grace is not so merciless to female figure. Compared to the corsages of the 19th century, this model seems harmless and incredibly comfortable.

Models of this style have gained particular popularity among young mothers who urgently need to get themselves in order. The product tightens the stomach well and leaves the chest free, emphasizing its fullness.

Push-up

If nature deprived beautiful shapes, then Angelica will correct this situation. Inserts along the bottom or sides will make the breasts seductive, round, and voluminous.

Even sconces with double push-up appeared on sale. But these are relatively closed versions of Angelica, which increase the bust by 1-2 sizes and turn the owner of the “zero” almost into Pamela Anderson. The increase in volume is achieved due to increased density and gel inserts, but such a product cannot be called comfortable.

Balconette models with a push-up effect are good because they open the chest as much as possible and make it round.

The inserts are usually located strictly at the bottom of the cups and parallel to the upper edge of the bodice. This allows you to use lace and transparent inserts in the decoration of sconces, which make others believe that breast volume is bestowed by nature itself.

With front clasp

At first it was Angelica. But such models were characterized by a short service life, because the locking mechanism quickly failed.

The current sconces with a front clasp look much stronger and more comfortable. They are readily worn by nursing mothers who want to look beautiful even during lactation. Such products are often suitable because the bust does not need additional support or increased volume. Sconces with hooks and a wide bodice have proven themselves well. They have a long service life and provide intensive support.
