Snowflakes made of cardboard with glitter. How to make a New Year's snowflake with your own hands

New Year is one of the few holidays when you can show your imagination and create a themed interior design using a variety of handmade crafts.

Even from the simplest materials, for example, paper, you can create many interesting designs.

We suggest starting with a traditional decoration for winter holidays - snowflakes. To make her look more elegant and symbolize the New Year’s celebration, it is better to spend a little more time and make a three-dimensional figurine.

Check out the most popular patterns on how to make a 3D paper snowflake with your own hands, and also watch video tutorials with detailed descriptions.

Large multi-colored snowflake

The most common option for making a large voluminous paper snowflake involves using a whole sheet of paper. From it you will get one of the snowflake branches, so take several sheets at once.

To create three-dimensional snowflakes from A4 paper, you first need to cut out square-shaped blanks from this material. We will need six identical squares. In this case, the diagonal of the square will be equal to the radius of the beautiful snowflake that will result in the end: already at the stage of cutting out the blanks, plan the optimal size of your craft.

In addition to paper sheets, you will need scissors, a pencil for sketching in some places, a ruler, a stapler and glue. If you wish, you can also take threads so that after completing the work, large paper snowflakes can be hung on windows or from the ceiling.

Advice: It’s better to make voluminous snowflakes from colored paper, alternating different shades in one figure or making several multi-colored decorations of the same size at once.

How to make a 3D paper snowflake step by step

As you can see, creating a bright decoration for the interior is not at all difficult: figure out how to cut out a three-dimensional snowflake from paper and how to wrap its individual parts - and it will only take you a few minutes to complete the work. A simple three-dimensional snowflake made using this method is shown in the photo below.

Another simple way is in the video on making 3D paper snowflakes:

Cut out snowflakes according to patterns

If you want to make decorations with your children, use templates for cutting out voluminous snowflakes. On the Internet you will find many interesting patterns of paper snowflakes for the New Year.

To make the craft three-dimensional, you can perform various manipulations, for example, glue several identical blanks in the center or connect some edges of the cut out fragments.

The following diagrams and templates of paper snowflakes can help you:

Another way to make homemade snowflakes involves preparing several identical figures of different sizes. They are placed on top of each other and secured with glue. We will decorate such a snowflake by creating cuts along the edges for even greater splendor.

For more details, see the video on how to make a three-dimensional paper snowflake step by step:

The master class of three-dimensional snowflakes using the accordion technique deserves special attention. You need to fold the sheet into an accordion and draw the outlines of the future snowflake on one side.

Advice: if you are uncomfortable folding the template several times, you can make a half or quarter snowflake blank - and at the end glue the parts of the accordion to each other.

If you sketch and cut out the figures correctly, you will get light openwork snowflakes like those in the following example.

Gluing a snowflake from paper strips

Let's look at a step-by-step diagram of a volumetric snowflake made from blanks in the form of thin multi-colored stripes. By the way, both regular sheets of paper and special paper for quilling are suitable for this master class. Additionally, we will use glue, brushes and clothespins.

How to make snowflakes from strips of paper:

The voluminous paper snowflake star is ready, and you can start decorating the interior for the holiday.

A detailed diagram is in the video about do-it-yourself voluminous paper snowflakes:

Multilayer “floral” snowflake

For variety, you can complement traditional New Year decorations with homemade snowflakes resembling flowers. For a step-by-step technique for volumetric snowflakes of this type, you will need an A4 sheet, a pencil with an eraser, glue and scissors.

Let's look at the process of creating such a paper snowflake in detail.

Fold the sheet diagonally into two parts. Cut off the part that will extend beyond the resulting triangle. Now fold the sheet again and cut the side of the triangle without folds so that you get two petals.

Advice: Draw the boundaries for cutting with a simple pencil so that you can immediately see the irregularities and correct the shape.

Trim off any excess and also wipe away pencil marks if they remain on the borders. Similar contours should be made on the petals several times - and not cut completely.

After unfolding the triangle, all that remains is to correctly fold the individual elements of the snowflake. The end of the middle part of the craft should be fastened to the center. The remaining petals are glued together in the same way.

Such a snowflake for the New Year will be a worthy addition to the holiday decor. And if you want it to be even more impressive, add other elements on top of the blank or connect such a snowflake with a similar one in the center.

Openwork snowflake quilling

Unusual paper snowflakes can be obtained by sequentially gluing twisted fragments using the quilling technique. We recommend using thin paper as the strips will be easier to roll into the desired shape.

An openwork snowflake made of paper, made with your own hands, will look no worse than ready-made store-bought decorations. In addition, you can choose the color of such a snowflake to your taste and give it a wide variety of shapes.

In this case, there is no pattern for cutting out a snowflake. All you need is to cut strips 2 centimeters wide and 15-25 centimeters long. Twist them and, if necessary, treat them with glue so that the shape holds. Such blanks can be given the appearance of a circle, a drop, a rhombus and many others.

You can attach the edges with a clothespin so that the pointed corners of the elements are preserved until the glue dries.

When all the parts are ready, assemble the snowflake by gluing them together. It’s better to start from the center: place a larger circle here – and form “branches” of the snowflake on several sides. After the finished paper craft has dried, you can treat the material with glitter, decorate it with ribbons, or attach a loop for hanging snowflakes on the Christmas tree.

Quick snowflake with decorations

And the next method, how to make a New Year's voluminous snowflake out of paper, is suitable for those who do not have much time to create decorations. We will use paper, scissors, glue, as well as beads or rhinestones to decorate crafts. Many squares of the same shape should be cut from paper. You can use ready-made stickers, for example, take white and blue leaves.

To make beautiful three-dimensional paper snowflakes step by step, roll all the squares into a cone with a corner sticking out. Glue the inside sides together to prevent the cone from falling apart.

Small voluminous snowflakes will be more difficult to make according to this description, so think about how to glue the side parts well: you may have to use a thin brush.

After the glue has dried, begin connecting the elements to each other. Fasten the edges of the cone-shaped blanks in a circle. For reliability, apply glue to the side parts of each figure so that they are connected to each other.

In the photo you will see an example of such snowflakes with two layers. The outer layer is made of smaller cone-shaped blanks. We complete the work by gluing rhinestones or beads in the middle and along the edges. The decoration is ready, and you can quickly make new voluminous paper snowflakes using this method at any time.

Modular snowflakes of different shapes

You can make a beautiful snowflake from a large number of folded triangles attached to each other. To obtain such a voluminous origami snowflake, you should first prepare a large number of parts as shown in the photo with step-by-step instructions.

One of the advantages of this method of creating voluminous Christmas snowflakes from paper is that you can easily adjust the size of the craft by simply adding or removing some elements. By the way, you can use this technique when creating other holiday-themed crafts.

You can also make a craft by folding one piece of paper.

3-D snowflake for the New Year

Finally, we’ll tell you about another interesting option, how to make a voluminous paper snowflake step by step with your own hands. This time we will make three-dimensional 3D snowflakes.

For this snowflake craft, you will need a stapler, ten pieces of paper (for large snowflakes, take thicker paper), a pencil, thread and scissors. The master class of volumetric paper snowflakes includes several stages:

The 3D volumetric snowflake is ready, but, of course, it will look attractive only when unfolded, so don’t forget about the loop and think about where it’s best to hang such a decoration.

3D snowflakes can be made much faster. We advise you to watch a video on how to make voluminous paper snowflakes with your own hands in different ways:

Armed with our tips and new ideas, start decorating your home for the New Year. Start by looking at pictures of 3D paper snowflakes and choosing the method that suits you - and don't forget to print out the diagrams and snowflake templates if you want to create many of the same decorations.

This whole process can be an interesting way to spend time with your children, so invite them to participate in creating fabulous crafts for the upcoming holidays.

Volumetric snowflake star made of 3d paper - watch a master class on it in this video tutorial:

In this lesson I present the most interesting, beautiful and original templates on how to cut snowflakes from paper with your own hands with diagrams and unique step-by-step photos. On the eve of the New Year holidays, everyone wants the house to be extraordinarily beautiful, cozy and fabulous. A good option for decorating your home before the New Year holidays would be to decorate the windows with paper snowflakes, unusual drawings, and festive motifs that will bring a pre-holiday mood and a New Year's fairy tale to the ordinary decor of the room.

The simplest thing you can do with your own hands is to cut out paper snowflakes and attach them in different places. Everyone remembers how, as a child, they cut them out before the holidays in kindergarten or at home. Today, having become parents, you can spend time with your child with benefit and pleasure, cutting out beautiful snow-white snowflakes from paper with your own hands. Kids always take part in such events with great joy.

Paper snowflakes made with your own hands and with joint efforts with children are not only a way to decorate your home, but also to bring into it the New Year's spirit, a sense of celebration and family comfort and unity.

Teaching your child to cut out a snowflake yourself is not at all difficult. To do this, you need to prepare the necessary tools and paper. As a base, you can use napkins, colored paper, or just a white sheet from an album.

The thickness of the sheet is not particularly important. But you need to know that thin sheets make the most delicate and airy snowflakes. And paper that is too thick will be difficult to cut.

You will also need a pencil and sharp scissors. After the pattern for the future snowflake is selected, the paper is folded as shown in the photo. If you have a sheet of A4 paper, then cut off the excess to get a square.

Fold diagonally.

The more folds you make, the more interesting and delicate the snowflake will turn out to be.

The size of the future decoration depends on how large the sheet is initially selected. In this case, the choice is influenced only by the desire to have a large or small snowflake.

Once the design is on the paper, we begin cutting. This process requires special care and precision. Under no circumstances should you cut off the edges of the paper at the folds, as the snowflake may simply fall apart.

Children really enjoy this process. After all, in the end you will get a beauty with your own hands, which will be so nice to decorate a Christmas tree, windows or walls in a room.

It should be noted that such a seemingly simple activity as cutting out snowflakes from paper with your own hands is a great opportunity to develop a child’s imagination, sense of beauty and artistic taste.

It so happened that the snowflake became an attribute of any New Year's holiday. Often at New Year's parties, the first role for girls is a snowflake. We can safely say that a snowflake is the main attribute of the New Year celebration.

Snowflake using paper quilling technique

Quilling snowflakes look elegant, especially if they are complemented with sparkling rhinestones and small foil elements or in the form of small patches. It is not necessary to buy special paper to create New Year's snowflakes; you can cut ordinary office sheets into thin strips and use a toothpick instead of a split stick. You can wind the strips using a simple method: pressing the paper onto the stick with two fingers and twisting it in your hands.

What to prepare for modeling snowflakes:

  • a sheet of office white paper;
  • scissors;
  • any glue with a brush or a special thin spout;
  • stick or toothpick;
  • a snowflake created using a hole punch or a blue patch;
  • blue half beads.

How to model a snowflake quilling

Take either special paper or cut the sheet into strips of the same width. Use scissors or a stationery knife, a ruler and a special thick mat. It will take many strips to create individual parts.

Wind each strip individually onto a stick. The paper easily remembers forced bending, but so that the parts do not unwind and take a certain shape, it is necessary to glue the ends together.

For the middle, prepare 1 large round piece. Also make droplets to fill the body of the snowflake. Only 12 pieces. Make sure they are the same size.

Glue 6 droplets around the circumference, adding a drop of glue to the side wall.

If there are large enough gaps between the parts of the first layer, you can fill them with small rolls. Roll 6 small rounds.

Glue small rounds into the gaps of the first layer.

Apply the second layer of droplets. Apply glue to small parts and press down the droplets with the back (wide) part.

A paper quilling snowflake model has been assembled. Now we have to decorate it with blue decor. Glue a snowflake and a half bead in the center. Add 6 blue crystals to each ray.

Blue sparkle will add a festive touch. The New Year's craft is ready. It can be hung on a green branch or on a window.

In this master class, I propose to make an unusual snowflake-card from paper on a stand. It will be an excellent gift for your mother or grandmother, and at a school exhibition it will have no equal. Also, by doing this craft, the child will learn how to fold paper, carefully cut it and use glue. And of course, fantasize! After all, creating snowflakes is a real art!

Materials needed for the postcard:

  • colored paper in delicate shades;
  • cardboard for base or stand;
  • glue;
  • scissors;
  • sequins for decoration.

Look at snowflakes with your children, tell them how snow is formed, what types of snowflakes there are and how they differ. Usually snowflakes are six-pointed, but we will have an eight-pointed snowflake, since it is made using the origami technique. In order to make one snowflake, you need to bend a sheet of colored paper in half and cut out two identical squares.

Now fold each square in half in different directions. You should get two folds that divide the sheet into four squares. Use a pencil to make marks on the reverse side. They are located in the middle of the side of the small square.

Carefully cut the paper to the marks.

The following blanks are obtained. For one snowflake you will need two things.

Using glue, attach the corners to the rays.

Now you need to place the blanks on top of each other with an offset. It turns out to be such a snowflake!

It's time to decorate the snowflake. To do this, you can take rhinestones, beads or sequins. They need to be glued so as to cover the joints of the corners.

All that remains is to make the base – the stand. To do this, you need to fold a wide strip of cardboard inward so that you get three equal parts. Then use scissors to round the corners.

You can write a congratulation inside the base. All that remains is to glue the snowflake to the edge of the workpiece. We placed a small snowflake cut out of foil in the center.

These are the snowflakes you get in half an hour - bright, airy, sparkling! And most importantly, they keep children's hands warm.

Blue paper snowflake using origami mosaic technique

The origami mosaic technique allows you to create beautiful relief paintings from paper. They look unusual and very attractive. Those who have not yet mastered this needlework technique and are just about to try it should immediately tune in to painstaking work that requires maximum concentration and perseverance. Even the simplest image in an origami mosaic will take a lot of time, because you not only need to choose a clear diagram, but also make a lot of miniature square blanks.

In this master class I will show you how to make a three-dimensional blue snowflake out of paper using the origami mosaic technique.

To create such a New Year's panel you will need different materials and tools:

  • scissors;
  • black lead pencil (simple);
  • wide tape;
  • ruler;
  • 2 sheets of white cardboard;
  • 6 sheets of white paper;
  • 2 sheets of blue double-sided construction paper;
  • tube of PVA glue.

First, on white and blue paper you need to draw squares measuring 3x3 cm.

Now cut the blanks into individual elements.

And start forming squares from which a panel in the form of a blue snowflake on a white background will be assembled.
How to make a square out of paper using the origami mosaic technique?
Take one square.

Gently fold it in half.

Fold this blank in half again so that you end up with a square half the size of the original one.

Unfold all sides to their original position.

Now bend each corner of the square towards its center.

This is how it turns out.

Turn it over to the wrong side.

And again begin to bend the corners of the square to the center.

The result should be a very small square measuring 1.5x1.5 cm.

In total, you need to make 136 blue squares and 225 white ones. This amount was calculated according to the diagram attached below.

Now take a simple pencil, a school ruler, and on two sheets of white cardboard, draw a grid of squares with sides equal to 1.5 cm.

Using tape, glue the two sheets together and cut a square so that each side holds exactly 19 squares.

Now we move on to pasting the base with small squares. To begin, mark the center of the craft and glue a white square onto it.

Now apply a drop of PVA glue to each shaded cell and fill them with blue blanks. Glue the central stripes.

Then place the squares diagonally.

Form a pattern according to the diagram.

The blue paper mosaic snowflake is almost ready!

All that remains is to glue white squares on the empty squares.

When the work is finished, you will receive an original panel in the form of a blue snowflake on a white background. She looks like this! Look how unusually the texture of the craft is visible, creating volume and relief.

Using this technique, you can make many other snowflakes, which will differ in image pattern or color.

This panel looks great on the wall and creates a festive atmosphere. You can also use it as an original postcard for one of your friends.

How to make a 3-D paper snowflake with your own hands

Modern technologies have reached such a seemingly simple task as creating a snowflake. As the name suggests, 3-D snowflakes are a more complex, but very effective technique, thanks to which the manufactured decor is distinguished by a special elegance of lines and rather unusual shapes.

What might you need to make a snowflake with a 3D effect?

Prepare a square sheet of paper of the desired color, a pencil and ruler, scissors or a sharp paper knife, and glue. The work of making 3-D snowflakes is very painstaking and requires a lot of patience.

The first step is to draw a sheet of paper into squares. We will need 6 identical squares. Then the following diagram is applied. It can be printed.

Fold the square in half diagonally and transfer the diagram as shown in the figure. Fold in half again.

The next step is to cut parallel lines. The cuts should be made in such a way that they are directed towards each other, but do not converge completely.

We connect and glue the corners of the first small square.

Then we turn it over and glue the corners of the next square.

And so on in order until all the corners are glued together.

To make the snowflake voluminous, you need to very carefully glue the corners of all the squares. The result is six snowflakes, which, when glued together, form a three-dimensional 3-D figure.

We connect the corners of all the blanks together.

In order for the figure to keep its shape and not fall apart, you need to additionally glue the sides of the snowflake.

That's all, our 3-D paper snowflake is ready!

By coming up with various patterns, painting the figure with paints and even decorating with beads, you can not only create a very beautiful New Year’s decoration, but also help develop your child’s imagination and sense of style.

Snowflakes - paper kirigami instructions

Snowflakes - Kirigami is a fairly simple way to quickly and effortlessly make a lot of beautiful decorations. The highlight of this type of snowflakes is the selection of paper. For snowflakes - kirigami you need bright colored paper.

It can be colored only on one side, but you can choose paper with rich colors on both sides. Take an A4 sheet and fold it as shown in the photo.

Cut out a square and fold it in half diagonally.

Fold it two more times.

Then we print out and transfer this diagram to the finished workpiece.

The next stage is to cut out patterns on the workpiece using nail scissors.

After carefully cutting out the snowflake, unfold it.

Fold the resulting corners as in the photo.

A snowflake can be decorated with stasis, beads, Christmas tree tinsel, and then it will become the central decoration of your New Year's home.

2 more options for DIY kirigami snowflakes:

The light, airy figurine of a ballerina is very beautiful. If you combine two types of a beautiful snowflake and a ballerina figurine, the effect can exceed all expectations.

It takes a lot of time to make this type of decoration. But the work of cutting it out is quite simple, even a child can do it. It’s not just single figures that look very impressive, but a whole garland of graceful ballerinas.

What you need to prepare for work:

  • template of a dancing ballerina figure;
  • thin white paper for a ballerina's tutu. Multi-layer paper napkins work very well;
  • thin white cardboard;
  • scissors.

Select a ballerina figurine template. You can find a large number of options on the Internet. Simply copy the selected template into a text document, format and print. But it’s much more interesting to draw a sketch yourself. Transfer the template to cardboard and cut it out.

It is very important that the cardboard is white on both sides, since the snowflake is voluminous and clearly visible from any side. The size of the figurine is optional. There are no restrictions in this matter.

Watch the video - how to make a ballerina snowflake with your own hands

A very beautiful pack is made from a white multi-layer napkin. We make a snowflake in the usual way. We apply the pattern we like onto the paper and cut it out with sharp scissors.

The only nuance that should be taken into account is that a paper snowflake should have a fairly large central hole. In this case, she will easily and simply sit on a cardboard figurine of a ballerina.

Paper heart with a snowflake in the shape of a handbag

In this master class we will make such a heart with a snowflake. It can be used as a bag for a small gift or simply as a DIY Christmas tree decoration.

First you need to print out this diagram.

We transfer the diagram onto paper and cut it out.

The result is two identical blanks.

To fasten them together, we make cuts - on one side from the top to half of the snowflake, on the other - from the bottom to half of the snowflake.

We collect the finished volumetric snowflake, threading it into each other.

Attach the handle.

Your DIY voluminous paper heart snowflake is ready!

How to make a fluffy snowflake

Greetings everyone! Today is November 12th, and there is still no snow in our city. What's your weather like? We are all already looking forward to winter fun and the snow-white outfit of nature. I really want to go outside and feel how snowflakes slowly and gracefully fall on you.

As a matter of fact, we will talk about them, about these white cut-out beauties! Probably, these fluffies are an indispensable attribute for decorating houses, streets, school and kindergarten premises in the winter. There are different methods for making this craft. The main difference is the material from which it is made and the cutting methods. We will talk about how to make snowflakes out of paper, using different patterns and cutting templates.

Don't forget that such blanks can be used as crafts for the upcoming New Year. You can get ideas for interesting and beautiful things that you can do with your own hands, getting ready for the holidays in advance.

You know, I would like to advise you to introduce such a tradition in your family: get together on cold evenings and create with your children, making and cutting out these simple designs, and then sticking them on the windows. And let passers-by envy your beauty!!

The easiest way to make a snowflake is to fold the sheet 5 times. The first four times we fold it in half, and the fifth time - diagonally. We cut out any patterns from the resulting blank and unfold it. Our New Year's beauty is ready!!

But this is a very simple and not very interesting way. To make it more complicated, you can make a tetrahedral version:

Or pentagonal:

Here is another simple and easy way to cut out our product:

And to make it even clearer to you, let’s now look at the manufacturing process step by step:

  • We will make snowflakes from square paper. If you have a standard A4 sheet, then adjust it to the desired shape. Now fold it to form a triangle. We cut off the excess part and get a perfect square.
  • We fold the square diagonally to form a triangle.

  • Fold the triangle towards the far corners, creating another smaller triangle.
  • We have a blank. Apply any pattern to it and carefully cut it out.
  • All you have to do is straighten the finished product so as not to catch it and tear it.

Note!! This is the easiest way to make a snowflake. Here the result depends on the selected pattern. The more complex the pattern, the more unusual and interesting the result will be.

Beautiful snowflakes with your own hands (made from paper)

I would also like to note that the more complex the decoration pattern, the more difficult it will be for you to cut it, so count on your strength.

For you, one more photo instruction for making a New Year's craft:

  • Make a diagonal bend. If you do not have a square sheet, then do not forget to cut off the excess part. Next, roll the workpiece diagonally again.
  • We divide the widest part of the triangle, that is, its base into 3 equal segments. We bend one corner so that the edge ends at the level of the mark. It will be below the base, but strictly under the mark. Now fold the second part and trim off the uneven ends.
  • Draw or immediately cut out a snowflake.

I think, in general, you already have an idea of how to carry out these simple designs and there should no longer be any difficulties in their manufacture. Here's another video for you on our topic, and let's move on to more complex options.

Volumetric snowflake. Cutting templates

To make a three-dimensional structure, you need to master the techniques of kirigami and quilling. Let's take a closer look at these two methods.

  • Paper snowflake using kirigami technique

We will need: bright colored paper (the back side should be white or colored); scissors; pencil with ruler.

Manufacturing process:

1. Cut out a square of colored paper of any size.

2. Fold it in quarters to reduce the size of the piece by four.

3. Make a diagonal fold.

4. Cut off the beveled corner at the top.

5. Cut out symmetrical triangles on the outside of the figure.

6. Using scissors from bottom to top, make two cuts on both sides of the sharp corner, as well as another cut on the right or left.

7. Unfold the paper and smooth it out carefully.

8. Now bend the resulting corners up or down at random.

9. Having folded all the corners, iron the craft.

10. When you place the product, turn it as desired with the front or back side facing you.

When you have become familiar with this technique, I offer you templates of more original types:

  • like this one for example

  • or like this

  • maybe you will like this option

  • Snowflake using quilling technique

This is very painstaking work, but the result is the envy of everyone. Although, if you look at it, everything is done extremely simply.

  • We take a regular sheet of paper and, using a ruler and pencil, draw identical lines. Cut the sheet into strips.
  • Take an awl and attach the edge of a paper strip to its end. Now we wind the strip onto the tool.
  • Glue the end of the strip to the resulting coil and remove the roll from the awl. Make another such coil, but lightly squeeze it with your fingers on one side. Make five more of these teardrop coils.

  • Take the first blank and glue six “droplets” to it.
  • Roll six coils again and squeeze with your fingers on both sides. Glue new parts between the petals of the snowflake.
  • Take three strips and fold them in half, then cut them. You should have six short strips. Twist six coils from them. Glue a new coil onto each tip of the piece.
  • From long strips we make six more coils, only slightly larger in size than the first. To do this, do not tighten the paper too much. Glue them on top between small rolls.
  • You need to make six more large coils and bend their sides with your fingers to make a square. We glue them at the top to the large coils.
  • Take a pencil and wrap a paper strip around it, glue the end of the strip and remove the spool. We glue this part to one of the tops of the snowflake and thread a ribbon or string into the ring.

Here is a diagram of how you can still glue the parts:

  • You can also make such a three-dimensional 3D figure.

We will need: paper, scissors and a stationery knife; scotch; glue; stapler

Cooking process:

1. Make six identical squares out of paper.

2. Bend each square diagonally and make 3 cuts towards the middle on both sides. The cuts should not touch, leave 0.5-1 cm between them.

3. Lay out the sheet and place it so that the uncut edges are vertical. From the inside you need to twist the two closest edges into a tube. Glue with glue or tape.

4. Unfold the workpiece and connect the next two strips. We turn the part over again and connect the 3rd row of strips. Glue the last strips too, turning the workpiece over to the other side.

5. We do the same with six squares. Then fasten them in three elements, turned in one direction. Then we fix both parts into a three-dimensional figure.

6. If necessary, secure the sides of the product with a stapler or glue.

And another master class on making winter beauties:

How to make a snowflake from a roll of toilet paper?

It turns out that to make such crafts, you don’t have to use regular paper; you can also use toilet paper rolls. And the work process is very simple, you only need to take one roll, PVA glue and paints, you can use acrylic, or you can use gouache. For decoration, use glitter, sequins or confetti.

Now just cut the toilet paper roll into equal parts, shape it into a flattened shape and glue it together. Top with material of your choice.

Here are a couple more ideas for designing structures made from rolls:

  • use small and large pieces

  • You can take different decoration elements from above

  • Or you can just cover it with gold paint

At the end of today’s topic, I want to say that the main thing in this matter is to try, fantasize and have a good mood. And if you get bored, make snowflakes from beads or just knit them, or maybe you can make them from pasta?!

Hello everyone! Today I want to continue the theme of crafts and show you how you can easily and quickly create wonderful toys in the form of paper snowflakes at home. The other day my sons and I made such a beauty that now this wonderful creation makes us happy. Watch and do with us.

I remember how I sat and cut out snowflakes as a child; it brought me so much joy and pleasure. And then she ran and glued it to the window. Time has passed, but nothing has changed until now, I still love this activity, only now I do them with my kids.

As always, I’ll start with the simplest manufacturing options, and along the way there will be more and more complex options.

In order to create a snowflake, you only need one tool - scissors and a sheet of paper and a good mood.

Then you need to correctly fold the paper into a triangle, and then draw a suitable pattern and cut it out. You will also need a simple pencil))).

The main thing is to take a square-shaped sheet, fold it in half (1), then in half again (2), repeat steps (3, 4), almost done! Draw with a pencil what you will cut out, for example like this in this photo:

So, from this triangular blank, I propose to make these magically beautiful and light versions of winter snowflakes, which you can use everywhere, even bring them to kindergarten, school and decorate rooms in your apartment, in the entrance and windows with them.

If you like everything openwork, then this look is just for you:

If you prefer classic options, then choose these wonderful snowflakes:

The following layouts and diagrams will be a little more complicated:

In general, I really liked this selection of all kinds of decorations on snowflakes, which I saw on the Internet:

Look how picturesque and patterned they are, it’s just super beautiful, and most importantly, it’s accessible to everyone, even a preschool child, a schoolchild, and even us adults.

For the little ones, you can offer this craft in the form of curls made from stripes.

Cutting snowflakes from napkins or paper

Have you ever seen those, such that the cutest snowflakes appear from napkins that absolutely everyone would like? I found these and am sharing them with you, the method is simple and easy, and also budget-friendly, you will need glue, napkins, scissors, a pencil or pen and cardboard.

Interesting! Napkins can be replaced with any other type of paper, such as corrugated paper.

The stages of work themselves are not complicated, but these pictures outline the entire sequence, so watch and repeat.

The final result of the work will be incredibly beautiful and will be remembered by everyone, and if you decorate it with colored sequins or something like that, it will be absolutely cool.

Or this way, depending on how someone decides to decorate the original sample.

Well, now I’ll show you a rather primitive, old method; before, such cute snowflakes were used to do everything in labor lessons or in art kindergartens. You will need paper and a good mood, and of course, scissors and glue. You will need to cut long strips of paper from a regular A4 sheet, the width of the strip should be 1.5 cm and the length approximately 30 cm.

You can make these multi-colored stripes and you should get 12 plain stripes.

This is how you glue these strips together step by step.

It turned out incredibly original, you can hang it on a Christmas tree, on a window or on a chandelier))).

Another similar option made from paper strips.

I saw a friend’s snowflake made from ordinary newspaper, then you can cover it with shiny varnish or glue sackcloth.

Or you can roll cones out of paper and glue them in a circle, alternating colors.

Do-it-yourself volumetric snowflake with step-by-step descriptions

To begin with, I want to offer you this way of working, maybe you will like it better than the following:

This type of work is a little more complicated, but it is the most interesting in my opinion, because it looks Such a snowflake appears as if in 3D form. Of course, it’s time consuming, but it’s worth it, my child and I made such a masterpiece in 1 hour. We are happy to share our step-by-step master class with you.

Stages of work:

1. You will need 6 squares of paper (blue and 6 of another white color), we took ordinary squares that we already had, they are sold as notes for notes. If you don't have these, then make your own.

Fold each square in half from one end to the other.

It will turn out something like this, and the last figure lies on the table, this is the result of the work.

2. Then fold the two ends of the paper to the fold line on both sides.

Turn the finished templates over to the wrong side.

Now turn the craft over to the other side again and push out the parts that stick out.

4. This is how it should work out, absolutely not difficult.

The next step will be to prepare 6 white squares, from which we will make the following blanks.

5. So let's start, this work is even easier than the previous one, let's make origami out of paper again.

This is how it should turn out, there should be 6 blue blanks, and also 6 white ones.

6. Well, after you have cut the white squares, fold each leaf in half by taking one end and placing it on the other.

Do it after the envelope.

7. Now turn all the envelopes over to the other side.

My youngest son also helped, and the eldest joined a little later.

8. Fold the sides.

Flip it over and fold out the sides, then fold them toward the center. Cut out a small circle from paper and attach all the modules.

9. Now start gluing.

Take your time, do everything carefully. Use a napkin.

10. Almost everything is ready, all that remains is to decorate and cheer up yourself and those around you.

So I called my eldest son for help, and this is what we did to him.

11. We glued a photo in the middle, it turned out to be such a funny and mischievous modular paper snowflake. Tomorrow we will hang this beauty on a booth in the kindergarten. It looks simply amazing and much brighter live). So be sure that absolutely everyone will like this miracle!

In fact, there are quite a lot of three-dimensional options; they can be made using the origami technique, or in the most ordinary way.

I found these on the Internet, I hope you find them useful, take paper, scissors and glue:

Here is another similar option.

If you have a lot of time, then you can make more complex voluminous snowflakes; I know that the halls of kindergartens, schools, universities, universities and even shops are usually decorated like this.

Interesting! You don’t have to glue the parts together, but use a stapler to do it faster.

Video on how to cut out a New Year's paper snowflake for children

First I wanted to show you a primitive video, and then I thought that you can easily do the most ordinary thing yourself. So I thought, I thought and... I propose to cut out an unusual snowflake in the form of an angel:

Simple snowflake patterns for beginners in origami technique

As far as I know, origami is also divided into subtypes, for example, modular paper origami. Which one do you love the most? I have some interesting ideas.

Or the simplest and easiest to do, even school-age children can figure it out:

Modular origami is already more difficult, here you initially need to learn how to fold the modules correctly, and then everything will go like clockwork.

You will need to make quite a lot of modules to put together such a composition, but you will develop fine motor skills)))

Each such module is easily inserted one after another, so you can come up with any options on the go.

All I can do is wish you good luck and creative success.
