Egyptian birthday. Script, competitions.

Children come to the group in the morning and change into Egyptian costumes.

The beginning of the holiday takes place in the physical education or music hall.

During morning exercises .

(Children enter the hall in costumes and line up in a circle.)

Queens Amphora and Nifirtiti appear to Egyptian music (the queens run, fuss, pretend that they are looking for something).

Amphora and Nifirtiti: Hi all! Our Egyptian instincts feel that we ended up here for a reason! Well, the bravest, smartest queen Amphora and the beautiful, smart queen Nifirtiti greet you! And why are you all so beautiful and elegant here? Probably you have new year carnival? No! What then? (the guys say that it’s Matvey’s birthday).

Queens: Ahh! Birthday! Then why are you standing? Come out to us! Let's get acquainted!

Nifirtiti: Well, well, well, guys, I had a great idea! Since today is your holiday, then I invite you to go with us on a trip to the Egyptian island of Crete! The road is full of dangerous adventures and difficult trials. But only the strongest, bravest and smartest of you will be able to pass these tests! But our path cannot continue until we find the map of the Pharaoh of Namibis, and for this you need to pass tests. And only real Egyptians can do this. Would you like to become real Egyptians?

Children: Yes!

Amphora: But it's not as simple as you think...

Nifirtiti: Fine! What beautiful costumes you wear, you look like the people of Egypt, but that’s not enough.

What qualities do you think a real Egyptian should have?

Never leave a friend in trouble!

Protect the weak and help those who need help!

My weapons are smile, courage and honor! Birthday in the style of a sea party

Amphora: Here she is! Our map (finds a map, hides in advance) Children look at the map.

Amphora: Why do you think we were looking for a map?

Children: They express their assumptions.

Amphora: Of course, to find the treasures of the Pharaoh of Namibis!

Nifirtiti: Look, children, how far we need to go to get to the pyramid and the treasures of the pharaoh!

Amphora: Well, I think you are ready to travel to the island of Crete! (funny music starts). We go to the group, where a room with various tasks has been prepared:

Nifirtiti: And here is our first test, I think I see the labyrinths of the Sphinx!

Egyptian party

09.12.2015

Majestic pyramids, bustling markets, dry hot air, a rich history that has become a source of inspiration for many filmmakers - all this and more - this is Egypt. A country recognizable to everyone, a country whose heritage still excites the minds of scientists, and whose historical characters are familiar to everyone. If you are a fan of the Egyptian theme in the design of the room, clothes, accessories, or you wanted to relax in Egypt, but for some reason you can’t vacation there, then throw a party in the Egyptian style.

An Egyptian party, designed in the same style, will be an excellent way to spend time, which your friends will like at any time of the year. In winter, such a party will allow you to plunge into the atmosphere of a carefree atmosphere for several hours. summer holiday, while in the summer it's a party in style Ancient Egypt gives you the opportunity to relax and get even more pleasure from the reality around you during the summer heat.

Since the party is dedicated to Egypt, a single thematic thread should run through all its components, leaving its mark on the invitations, the design of the party venue, the menu, music, and entertainment. The main points to pay attention to include decoration in 2-3 colors characteristic of Egypt (green, blue, white, red, yellow, black), geometric patterns on clothes, columns, tents and carpets, fruits and oriental sweets. When choosing a design color, keep in mind that in Ancient Egypt, each color had its own special meaning. For example, yellow is the color of gold and the sun, which have the properties of incorruptibility, indestructibility and eternity, while black symbolized night and death.

Preparation and creation of invitations

An Egyptian style party is not an event that can be invited to simply by phone; it is an event that involves handing out invitations to each participant in person. In the invitation, be sure to indicate where, when and what time the historically significant event for your friendship, company or family will begin. Also, don't forget the line: "Costume is a MUST" because an Egyptian costume party without costumes will lose all its charm.

You can make an invitation to an Egyptian party with your own hands. For example, take black paper or black cardboard, stick pyramids and stars cut out of gold foil onto it. On reverse side paste the text printed on the printer indicating all the necessary data.

Another interesting invitation to an Egyptian party would be an invitation in the form of a rolled papyrus tied with thread or rope. To create such an invitation, you simply need to print the invitation text on pre-aged sheets. To age paper, you will need strong coffee or black tea: you need to brew it, let it brew, pour it into a deep bowl, and then put sheets of plain paper into the bowl and let them soak in the “solution” for about 5 minutes. Then take out the sheets and dry them - and they are ready to apply text on them, then roll the sheets into a tube and tie them. You can also glue rice sticks to the two ends of the invitation and then wrap the paper around it.

Decoration of an Egyptian room

When decorating a room in Egyptian style, make yourself a list of words with which you and your friends associate this country, for example, palm trees, pyramids, oases, Nile, camels, caravans, sphinx, hieroglyphs, mummies, Cleopatra, tombs and much more. Calculate which associations are most common, and be sure to use them as elements of decorating a room in the style of Ancient Egypt. For example, hang and arrange images, figurines of pyramids, camels, place palm trees in tubs in the corners of the room. If you are holding your Egyptian-style party somewhere outdoors, then the main room can be organized in the form of a tent made of translucent lightweight fabrics of different colors. You can make such a tent yourself from metal posts (you need four pieces: bury them in the ground so that they are stable), thick steel wire (it needs to be stretched between the posts) and white fabric(it must be secured to the wire using threads). Also, hang multi-colored ribbons around the entire perimeter of your homemade Egyptian tent, which are attached to the wire with safety pins.

In addition, you can put a carpet on the floor in such a tent (if you have a carpet that you were going to throw away in the near future, then use it, because after your party it is unlikely to be suitable for anything else) . Place a low table on the carpet, scatter pillows around the tent, you can place palm trees, both real and artificial, in the corners, and for those who like to smoke, place a hookah in the corner. Organize a buffet area on the table so that throughout the evening your guests can come and refresh themselves with sandwiches and soft drinks.

Candles are supposed to be used as lighting at a party in the style of Ancient Egypt, and the more of them, the better. Candles can be placed around the perimeter of the room, they can be small, large, scented or not. Candles can also be placed on water poured into large glasses or transparent glass bowls.

Place a pyramid in the center of the table (you can make it yourself using cardboard, foam plastic, paints and staples). The pyramid can be fruits folded in the shape of a pyramid or a cake baked in the shape of a pyramid.

We all remember the film “The Mummy”, the main actions of which take place on the territory of Egypt at the beginning of the 20th century, but with the participation of a mythical character from a more ancient state. Such a character must be present at your evening, motionless and at peace. If you have medical friends, borrow their skeleton for one evening, wrap it in bandages, and on the bandages draw bloody stains with black paint, which have lost their color after so many centuries. If you don’t have medical friends with a skeleton, use improvised means, for example, a large box covered with multi-colored paper, put away different fabrics, make a sarcophagus in which you place clothes made from and bed linen mummy (you can make one by shaping your blanket human body and wrapping the resulting “body” with bandages). The resulting mummy will become the central figure of Egyptian photo shoots. In principle, you can organize a photo zone around it, in which each guest can capture such an interesting and fun moment in his life with a camera. When organizing a photo zone, you can use large posters depicting Egyptian pyramids, camels, dark rooms with a lot of treasures.

Egyptian costumes

The hot climate of Ancient Egypt influenced, first of all, the type and appearance clothes of the ancient Egyptians. So men wore skhenti - a loincloth, and women - kalaziris - a piece of natural fabric, for example, linen, wrapped around the body, length from neck to ankle, held on by two straps. Of course, not every modern person will want to walk around in traditional ancient Egyptian robes, so you can invite your guests to wrap themselves in a piece of light natural white fabric, pinning it in the shoulder area with large safety pins. Women can also wear light, airy sundresses made from natural fabrics, and men, if the party is taking place in the summer at a dacha or near a pond, can afford to appear in front of all honest people in light canvas shorts, abandoning a T-shirt.

Don't forget about accessories and all kinds of decorations with which the ancient Egyptians generously decorated themselves from head to toe. Such jewelry was made of gold, silver, iron, and, interestingly, iron jewelry was more expensive than gold. It was also popular to apply multi-colored enamel to jewelry, mainly white, turquoise, green and blue.

Today, the Egyptian theme is very popular among accessory designers, so you can find rings, bracelets for wrists or forearms, and necklaces made in this theme. If your budget is limited, then you can make gold bracelets yourself. For this you will need: a can of gold paint, glue, scissors, pasta, a cardboard tube made of toilet paper or paper towels. Using scissors, cut a “bracelet” of the width you need from a cardboard sleeve, then use glue to glue the pasta in parallel rows (you can take any, but ordinary medium-sized “shells” still look better).

Another important element in creating the image of an ancient Egyptian is a black wig or natural black hair of bob length. You can weave silk threads or leather laces into this hairstyle; you can also put a hoop, either made of fabric or metal, or tie a ribbon over the hairstyle.

If you don’t have enough time and imagination to put together an Egyptian costume, then you can look at ready-made men’s and female images Here.

Food, entertainment and music

Like all oriental cuisines, Egyptian cuisine is steeped in sauces and seasonings, but, unlike, for example, Indian cuisine, Egyptian sauces and seasonings are not as spicy and more familiar to our Western taste buds. So feel free to use Egyptian recipes when creating a menu for your Egyptian party. For example, as an appetizer, you can offer your guests an Egyptian salad, which includes cucumber, pepper, green olives, coriander, mint, and as a dressing - wine vinegar, olive oil, salt, pepper. Dice cucumber and pepper, peel and cut green olives, mint, coriander. Mix all the ingredients you have, season olive oil, wine vinegar, add salt and pepper. This salad goes well with meat dishes, such as lamb. Remember about one of the sacred animals of Ancient Egypt - the cow, so do not put beef or veal dishes on the table.

As a main dish, you can serve pilaf, the main ingredients of which are rice, butter, ham, mushrooms, chicken liver, onions, broth, salt, and seasonings. Pilaf is prepared as follows:

  1. boil the rice, then fry it in a frying pan without adding oil;
  2. cut the chicken liver into slices, fry it in a small amount of oil;
  3. boil the ham, cut it into cubes;
  4. cut fresh mushrooms into slices;
  5. mix all the prepared ingredients listed above in a cauldron or saucepan with thick walls;
  6. Pour the resulting mixture with hot water or broth, bring to a boil, add salt and simmer under the lid for 15-18 minutes.
  7. When finished, add seasonings to taste.

The Egyptians' favorite seasonings to this day are red and black pepper, cardamom, saffron, coriander, turmeric, cinnamon, ground ginger, cloves and cumin.

As for the drinks that you are going to serve on the table (in addition to alcoholic ones), they must include tea, both green and black, as well as mint and herbal - such tea best quenches thirst even in the hottest afternoon hours and is accepted drink in glasses. Another favorite drink among Egyptians is coffee, strong and thick, with cardamom. Also don’t forget about fruit juices, fresh juices and cocktails made from banana, strawberry, orange, mango. The peculiarity of all non-alcoholic drinks preferred by Egyptians is that they are all drunk with a large number sugar, so place a sugar bowl next to each guest or serve tea with a few pieces of refined sugar.

Some alcoholic drinks, despite Islam, are also popular among Egyptians: this is light beer with a mild taste, wuzu is a low-alcohol drink based on buckwheat, oatmeal or millet flour (it is difficult to buy, since it is produced mainly in rural areas of Egypt , so you can find a replacement for it among the alcohol we have).

Oriental motifs and Egyptian tunes will be an excellent backdrop for your Egyptian-style party. You can find this kind of music on the Internet. At the same time, download not only calm, relaxing compositions, but also fast, fiery melodies that will fit perfectly into the competitions you hold.

For example, one of the most famous and beloved competitions of all ages is the “Mummy” competition, in which everyone can participate. Divide the participants into pairs (for which there must be an even number of them), and give one of the pair a roll of toilet paper, and the second plays the role of a mummy, which the first must wrap toilet paper. The wrapping takes place at speed and accompanied by rousing music. The couple that creates a mummy the fastest wins the competition.

An interesting competition for girls will be the “Queen of Egypt” competition, in which girls will compete for the title of the most flexible and intriguing dancer at the party. Therefore, prepare music in advance with bewitching and measured Arabic motifs, so that the participants can reveal and show their femininity, softness and plasticity.

Create the mood, feeling, atmosphere of Ancient Egypt, majestic pyramids and godlike pharaohs, invite friends and relax according to the full “Egyptian” program!)

The exotic country of Egypt is a country with an interesting centuries-old history, fascinating with a lot of secrets and mysteries, such as pyramids, tombs, the sphinx and majestic pharaohs.

If you are passionate about the culture of this country, dream of plunging into its mysterious atmosphere, feeling how the Egyptian pharaohs lived, rested and had fun, taste all the delights of the luxury of a great state and immerse yourself in the secrets of the Arab East, then you can safely celebrate your birthday in the style of Ancient Egypt .

First you need to think about the invitations. You can use computer graphics, if, of course, you want to design them yourself. You can, of course, turn to specialists. The main thing is that everything is in accordance with the intended theme. Invitations can depict scarabs, a trio of pyramids (Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure), a majestic sphinx, etc.

What needs to be done to give the party an Egyptian theme?
The first is the room, it must correspond to the number of people who will be present at your celebration, and allow you to place the necessary decorations. To create an Egyptian ambiance, you can use velvet, satin, silk shawls of different colors, and the texture of old papyrus. Papyrus scrolls will be an excellent solution for programs and menus.

Placed pillows embroidered with gold thread will create a special atmosphere in which guests will feel cozy and comfortable. Choose low tables so that those present can sit on cushions. Cover them with tablecloths decorated with beads and tassels along the edges. As an additional decoration, use scatterings of coins and “precious” jewelry.

Palm trees will fit perfectly into the interior of the room. You can create a stylized oasis using airy fabric in the color of sand, greenery and water. Lightweight materials can also be used to create something like a tent. The walls are decorated with grape vines, ivy and ornate lamps.

Pay due attention to candles, they will create an effect of mystery and create a special mood. An interesting decorative element will be a bowl filled with water with colorful burning candles.
When decorating, keep in mind that in Ancient Egypt, only three colors were used for interior decoration, which are assigned a certain meaning. Red is associated with victory and life, green is a symbol of the birth of something new, and yellow symbolizes prosperity and eternity.

Outfits - they, of course, also need to match the theme. The wardrobe of the men of Ancient Egypt consisted of “shenti” loincloths, and the ladies wore “kalaziris” - a piece of fabric in which they wrapped the body, with wide straps. You can just dress in light dresses, long shirts, costumes in the style of the East. Particular attention should be paid to the jewelry - massive bracelets inlaid with stones.

As treats, serve your guests pastrami, tahina, shawarma, shakshuk omelette, klufta, and Cairo-style poultry. Desserts – donuts with sweet sauce, baklava. Place plenty of fruit on the tables. Place all dishes on large painted trays, and serve drinks in tall jugs.

There probably shouldn't be any problems with music to match the theme of the party. It’s great if you can organize live musical accompaniment.

Have a wonderful birthday celebration!

The key to organizing such a celebration: the entire party should be permeated with the theme you choose. Whether it's a general theme, like the season or feelings, or a specific one, like a special flower, there should be some common thread that ties all the components of the evening together. The venue, invitations, menu, birthday cake, souvenirs - all this should clearly reflect the overall concept. Therefore, turn on your imagination at full capacity and go ahead!

    Name

    1. Come up with a name for your party, for example:

Romance on the banks of the Nile

      Midnight Oasis

      Arabian nights

      Egyptian temptation

    Invitations

Make invitations from black paper or cardboard. Cut out triangles from gold foil to represent the pyramids and attach them to the front of your invitation. Using glue with glitter or glue and glitter separately, make stars above the pyramids. You can also use a photo of Egypt on your invitations. On the back (or inside the invitation) write all the details of the party: where, when, what time. Attach the following phrase below: The giant serpent guarding the entrance to the Pharaoh's tomb will only allow guests into the party who are dressed like ancient Egyptians.

    Egyptian motif

A motif is a visual representation of your theme. It can be created using various things and symbols. If you decide to throw an Egyptian-themed party, you may need symbols of Egypt such as: Uraeus - the serpent emblem found among Egyptian rulers and deities; mathematical symbol of infinity; Horus - Egyptian falcon god; emblem of the right eye of the god Ra - the supreme sun god in Ancient Egypt. All these symbols can be depicted on your invitations, on plates, in decorations.

    Development of the Egyptian theme

Develop your theme with a list of words you can use on the topic. Try to make your own, but if you find it difficult, here are some ideas to get you started:

    1. Pyramids

      Palm trees

      Desert

      Oasis

      River Nile

Columns in the shape of a lotus

      Barley cakes

      Sphinx

      Cobra

      Blue water lily

      Sarcophagi

      Mummy

      Tombs

      Tents

      Hieroglyphs

      Papyrus

      Caravans

Sculptures (Heads of pharaohs, busts of Hathor, scarabs with open wings, solar disk, etc.)

      Egyptian gods

Myths and Legends of Ancient Egypt

Cleopatra - Queen of the Nile

      Feather fan

      Grape

      Harem

      Order a belly dance

    Colors

You need to choose 2-3 colors to use for decoration. In Ancient Egypt, color was a very important part of the existence of all life on earth. Then, if people said about a person that he did not know the color of the gods, this meant that he was incomprehensible and would never be fully understood. In art, colors were the key to the nature of creatures. For example, when Amon was depicted with blue skin, this implied his cosmic origin. Osiris's green skin explained his power over all plants and his ability to resurrect.

Egyptian artists had only 6 colors at their disposal: green, red, yellow, blue, black and white.

    1. Green is the color of all vegetation and new life.

Red is the color of life and victory. During holidays, the ancient Egyptians painted their bodies with red ocher and wore amulets made of carnelian (a dark red stone). This color was also a symbol of rage and fire.

Yellow is the color of the sun and gold, which had the properties of incorruptibility, eternity and indestructibility. Thus, everything that has the color yellow acquired such a connotation.

Blue was a symbol of sky and water. In a cosmic sense, its symbolism extended to the heavens and primordial waters. In both cases, blue took on the meaning of life and rebirth. Blue was also a symbol of the Nile and was associated with sacrifice and fertility.

Black was a symbol of death and night.

White meant omnipotence and purity. Since white seems to lack color, it also meant simple and sacred things.

    Texture and decoration

Using different textures will make things look interesting and will enhance the atmosphere you want to create for the evening. For your party in Egypt you can use sand, silk, satin, velvet, old papyrus texture for the background, colorful silk shawls decorated with metal coins and beads for belly dancers. You can also use rich brocade, velvet and natural silk. Papyrus scrolls can be used for programs or thank you notes.

Decorate your hall with palm trees (real or artificial, or you can even use inflatable ones). Add real sand to create an oasis, or use a lightweight sand-colored gauze fabric to which you can add a matching Nile blue fabric. Grapevines, oil lamps, and a garland of golden ivy will give your room a real Egyptian look.

Consider lighting: candles, candles and more candles. If there are no small children at the party, place beautiful candles on all tables. different sizes so that they shine throughout the party. Candles on water are very beautiful: take a glass bowl or several large glasses for wine, fill with water, place on the mirror, let a few small candles float freely and enjoy the romantic atmosphere.

If your party is taking place outdoors, you can raise tents made of bright fabrics (tulle, organza, silk, satin), but you should also have fewer candles. But if you are in a closed room, decorate the ceiling with the same fabrics, make an imitation of a tent above your head.

Make plenty of cushions for your guests to sit on (instead of chairs), and set a low table. Give your table a festive look by covering it with a narrow strip of fabric with beads and thick tassels at the ends. Make a pyramid out of a PVC tube, put a mummy inside (wrap the doll in rags), rubber snakes (they look like real ones), some treasures, etc.

Everywhere on the walls you can hang posters of caravans, palm trees, gold items and camels.

    Entertainment

Dancing. Dancing was more than just a pleasant pastime in ancient Egypt. Even in the pre-dynastic period, images were found female figures, possibly Goddesses or Princesses, dancing with their arms raised above their heads. Dance was undoubtedly an integral component of rituals and celebrations in ancient Egypt. People from different social classes were very fond of music and dancing. Workers worked to the rhythmic sounds of music and the beat of percussion instruments, and street dancers entertained the public.

In ordinary everyday life, dancers and musicians were an important and integral part of banquets and celebrations. Typically, men and women danced separately, in separate groups, and women sometimes danced in pairs.

Hire a belly dancer to entertain your guests.

If possible, hire a camel. Hire musicians - live music for such a party will decorate your holiday.

Games.

In Ancient Egypt, various types of food were very common and popular. board games. Archaeologists have found many different boards for certain games, but since the rules of the games were not preserved anywhere, but were passed on from mouth to mouth, scientists still do not know what kind of games they were. But you can simply offer your guests the well-known checkers, chess, backgammon, cards, etc.

Game "Mummy". This game is played at various parties, but this is where it will be more relevant than ever. Just divide the guests into 2 teams, choose one person from each team who agrees to become a mummy, give the rest a roll of toilet paper and give the command “start”. Whoever turns a person into a mummy the fastest wins.

Game "In Search of Treasure". This is a memory game. Place a variety of small items on the tray. Everyone should remember them. Then cover the tray with a cloth and ask everyone to close their eyes or turn away. Remove a few things from the tray. Guests must determine what is missing. This game can be played for a very long time and in turns.

    Treats

Look for various recipes for oriental dishes on the Internet, make a variety of treats, put them on common trays and in large dishes so that everyone can serve as much as they want. Decorate the tables with fruits, flowers, beautiful napkins etc. Drinks can be very different to suit your taste.

On February 3, 2019, our youngest son celebrated his 8th birthday. It was really great! In a company of 10 children, the presenter Svetlana clearly and professionally ensured that everyone was involved and no one felt forgotten. At the same time, she called all the guys by name, inexplicably remembering everyone. The birthday boy was the center of attention. Costumes were put on each participant, which created an additional atmosphere. The holiday itself was very dynamic. The children received a lot of interesting information, played, and made something for themselves. In general, useful + pleasant + fun = a wonderful holiday. The birthday boy is happy. He said it was the best birthday of his life. The guests also left very happy. Thanks to the organizers! Thank you very much Svetlana!!!

MARIA

We celebrated our son's 10th birthday. The group was small (11 people): boys and girls, and everyone really enjoyed it! Last year we already ordered the “Medieval Japan” program and were delighted. This year the choice fell on the “Expedition to Ancient Egypt” and again everything went wonderfully. I would like to express my gratitude again and again to the Living History Museum and the wonderful presenter Svetlana, who skillfully and competently conducted the entire program, making my son’s 10th birthday an unforgettable event. See you in the new year, we will definitely come to other programs!

MILAN

Last weekend we celebrated our daughter’s birthday at the Living History Museum, program “Journey to Ancient Egypt.” Everything went great, noisy, fun, educational and a bonus - a disco! When our daughter returned home, she said that it was her best birthday. She is already thinking about what trip she will go on with her friends next year, because there are still so many countries to go to pass 🙂Thanks to the Living History Museum and host Svetlana for the excellent organization and holding of the event!

VERONICA

Hello! Yesterday we celebrated our daughter’s 8th birthday, chose the “Expedition to Ancient Egypt” program and did not regret it. Firstly, I would like to say that the center named after. Voloshin is easy to find and is located in a great location (across the road there is a park and Novodevichy Pond), if you wish and the weather is good, you can continue the holiday with a walk. The organization of the holiday is excellent! I would like to say a huge thank you to Svetlana (the host of the holiday)! We had 11 people, more than boys, and everyone was delighted. The children were captivated and interested for the entire 2.5 hours. It’s not only fun, but also very educational! We ordered a pyramid cake from Elizabeth and both children and adults were delighted! It turned out to be not only very beautiful, but also incredibly tasty! In general, the holiday turned out to be excellent! If you want to spend your child’s birthday fun, active, and educational, don’t hesitate, YOU COME HERE!
